The Ganymede is a midsized frontline attack vessel. Built around an enormous mass driver, the Ganymede is a dedicated weapons platform geared towards extreme long-range fleet engagement and orbital bombardment, slugging it out well out of range of other ships.

In addition, the Ganymede has traded hangar space for an armored bomb bay, capable of launching volleys of hundreds of bombs per minute at surface targets from orbit. It is well defended from starfighter and missile attacks with gatling turrets and robust armor.

MASS DRIVER______________________________________________________________

Big, big gun. Launches a warhead-tipped round using 32 synchronised gravity generators at about 268 meters a second (with speed mods active) in vanilla it's just instantly launched at top speed (104m/s).

The recoil will cause your 2280 ton ship to lurch upward slightly when the weapon is used at full power.
This thing punches holes in just about everything and can fire once per second.

DUAL TORPEDO LAUNCHERS__________________________________________________

Rapid fire optically-guided torpedo launchers. Kinetic damage to anything within 50 000km in front of the ship. Just turn on the “FIRE MISSILES” timer and point the ship at what you want to hit.
If the system jams, shut off the missile spam and reverse a bit (I may need to fine-tune this). Great against gravity sheilds, as the missiles have no mass blocks attached to them.

CARPET BOMBING_________________________________________________________
Launches 6 warhead-tipped bombs a second straight down in a tight pattern. A mobile meteor shower. Launches 6 bombs a second, 360 a minute.

It’s a really big gun. Homage to the Sulaco. I liked the head of another ship I've built (the Magellian) so I fitted it to this mllitary build to see how it looked. I’ve provided instructions on how to use her three major weapons systems in the images. Works great with speed mods, however I’ve noticed that if warheads hit too fast they tend not to detonate sometimes.
