Mazes are not really my element either just that this one would be more of like a bonus level that was a break from the usual grind.

Portals and mazes sound good on paper, but in practice, they are a nightmare! Trust me on that! I've played several maze maps before and they all have a common theme; get lost, literally. They are also boring and mind-numbing.
