In case anyone is still looking at this mod in 2021 or later, this seems to be a more-or-less equivalent:
Vanilla Animals Expanded — Australia

That said, the above only adds Kangaroo, Koala, Platypus, & "Boombat". (Wombat crossed with a Boomrat?)
