Whale Mk-1 is a transport-research ship manufactured by "CosmObrTech". In fact, it is an advanced version of the Corwer Mk-2 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=727783665 of the same manufacturer. A significant difference between the Corver is the size and increased load capacity (One large container and many small), as well as the presence two cabins and one big captain's cabin. Whale has a wonderful view from the captain's bridge, which allows you to visually find objects you are interested in. Of course, this reduced the ship's protection features, so CosmobrTech designers listened to the old proverb: "The best defense is an attack," and placed 9 rapid-fire turrets with an auto-fix system, which makes it easy to destroy pirate fighters before they penetrate the hull. Also on the ship there is a system of backup power by batteries, charged by solar panels. Thus, with a long trip, you certainly do not end it's power supply.

There are rumors that the captain managed to escape to hyperspace and leave the fleet, but the theory sounds very doubtful.
