It has some light problems with the "sides" being complete dark. Tried it all in Eyecandy to change the latitude etc. but no way it gets brighter..

These look great! You can use mesh info mod to find your in game tri counts. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=453956891&searchtext=mesh+

@Avanya Thanks! I'm not sure how to get a proper poly count in Sketchup, but I've got 42 faces, 161 edges in there. After the faces get divided into triangles, I'd expect the poly count to be approx. 200 or so.
