Description
After submitting the Lobster PP-Bizon entitled ‘the Trawler’ to reddit last week I received a multitude of comments asking for a ‘Glock Lobster’. ( 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 (meta). ) In all honesty I wanted to get back on something serious after investing a chunk of time into a novelty finish, but just like Michael Corleone in Godfather part III, I can never leave!

The Spiny Lobster[en.wikipedia.org] (or rock lobster) is anatomically different in that it doesnt have two large claws but instead it has chunkier tentacles (-- in fact it's not a true lobster but a crayfish). In the process of working it onto a glock model I thought it would be slightly more amusing to have the lobster staring directly at the player with cutesy eyes, and have the tentacles following the grip sides downward - ultimately out of shot. This execution differs to the weasel as that finish has the artwork placed on the sides, whereas this is morphed to fit the model specifically in POV view.

As always I went around the houses, working up seashell linework as a background detail, which in the end made the final result look cluttered so it ended up cast aside for the more simplified look.

Normally after painting I recreate each element as a vector for crispness, however in this case I liked the subtle fill fading in places so have only done this for the outline. Let me know what you think below!
