Ultralight Jet (Survival Ready)

Very lightwight plane you can use early on for recon and transport. Has vertical takeoff and landing but can also use the normal landing and starting procedure of a plane given a nice runway or icy lake. For vertical takeoff and exact landing use Inertia dampers, get up to a very fast gliding speed (about 200 m/s) and then turn it off, but be aware that there are no sideway thrusters and exact placing takes a bit of practice.

If you want it to take of at 50 m/s you have to replace the wheels as they provide a lot of drag. It makes for a much slower experience, but that may come in handy for intelligence based missions.
