Description
Bs Funeral Home and Crematorium AFTER DARK by HGscMENTOR

If you like it, please RATE UP, FAVORITE, and SHARE this with friends/family.

Like so many funeral homes and crematoriums in small rural areas, this structure doubles as the home of the Funeral Director and his family. Their home stretches across a portion of the back of the facility, with the crematorium located in the basement. The front of the building (and some of the back) is taken up, on the left, with two very nice funeral parlors and on the right with administrative offices and a sales display lobby.

The Crematorium also employs a Certified Cremation Operation Specialist and her staff, Family Service Director, Advance Planning Specialist, and some office staff.

Although the funeral director keeps 2 hearses handy at the facility which he and his family operate when needed, he also contracts out to 20 Hearse Drivers and their assistants who supply their hearses and services as needed. Because the distances between huge farming homes and others living in small, scattered rural communities are sometimes great, these drivers and their vehicles often range far and wide on their routes, covering many more miles than metropolitan drivers do.

Since the Funeral Home is a family owned and run business, it pays no homage (or maintenance fees) to the city other than the occasional licensing fees for its staff.

HEARTFELT ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS OF CONTRIBUTIONS TO THIS ASSET:

I want to give my appreciation to Mr. Maison, Breeze, and Niis-Ku, whose beautiful trees, flowers, and Madonna Statue made this facility so pleasing to the eye.

I'd also like to thank my mentor (Populous) for teaching me how to create these assets. Without his endless patience (and that of his wife) I would still be subscribing to other modder's works and revising them to suit my game. Making them from scratch is ever so much more fun, especially when there are people there to help you at every step of the way. So "Thank You, Mr. and Mrs. P," soooooo much.

LOOKING FOR ONE MORE CONTRIBUTOR:

If anyone out there knows how to make a sign that sits about waist-high on the ground (two pillars of stone or brick surrounding a flat area that holds the words - in dark blue on a white background - HEALTHCARE CENTER) please comment on this asset. I'll gladly give you kudos here - and a link to your asset screen - for creating the prop if I can use it.

I assume you found out that a Single square is 8m by 8m & a Map square is 8Km by 8Km.
I was reading older comments on here when I saw your size question.
The answer was in the Paradox Cities Skylines Wiki.

Yup - works great. :^) Need to check all my other CityService facilities next time I open my game and be sure they are not sitting "inside" a radius for one of their duplicate facilities. Learning new things every day.... :^) ......

Seems exactly as I suggested, works huh :)

OH! Hey Pop and Painful Agenda!!
I figured out (by experimenting on my map) that if I moved a crematorium that was not sending out hearses (though there were a lot of dead bodies) out of the radius of another crematorium, it immediately started sending out it's hearses.
So apparently you can have the radiuses of the crems overlapping, but you don't want to actually have one crem located inside the radius of another crem. Good thing to figure out, eh?

Oops - that building would topple in a slight breeze, right?
Did you mean set the radius on my Crematorium for 1800?
Populous Sep 24, 2017 @ 10:38pm
Each quire is a tile and is 3.2808399 feet. Obviously the designers did not take geometry (a 20 story building in game is only about 13 feet wide in reality.

Off the record and don't tell anyone at all because they can never know ;) Set to 1800 for the best game experiance.

So how many feet (or meters) are represented by a tile on the road? Or one of the larger "game-map" tiles? Is there a place to look for that? Should I go search through the skylineswiki?
Beth2020  [author] Sep 24, 2017 @ 9:42pm
Thanks Pop
:^)
I'll check that out.
And you are right - sometimes CS's data stats don't make sense - but it's still the best game out there, right?
.....chuckle....
:^)

Ah, the age old question no one actually knows the answers too and then the game ignores the settings anyway... 1 radious= 3.2808399 feet, but here is where it falls apart... setting the radious to 1609 = 1 mile... What facility in the world can't travel 20 miles... the game wont let you set it that high. Here you go my friend: http://www.skylineswiki.com/Asset_Properties
Populous Sep 22, 2017 @ 6:37pm
Your setting is 5009 or 3.11 miles.... now tell me a hurse cannot travel three miles in reasonable time.....
