Nice. I use simial towers but use two rows of scrap iron grates for the perimeter catwalk. You can shoot through them and are relatively cheap to make. When I have steel, I also upgrade the lower three or four rows of blocks. Two of us held off a 14 day horde and lost a dozen metal capped log spikes but no real damage to the upgraded walls.
