By MrLancerRalliart
Ever wanted the Ace to shoot farther? Ever wanted the medpack to heal AND treat toxicity? What about binoculars that zoom 30x? Or even an Alicepack that has 300 slots? This guides you through how to do these mods, and many more. Almost any item in Unturned can be modified to your preference.

Introduction
This guides tells you how to modify the items for Unturned. Some files are easier to read than others, but all can be read using a program such as Notepad. Just follow the instructions if you do not know where to change numbers or if you're confused.

In the files that are one continuous line of text:

Make sure you are modifying the correct number!

Having these values modded will not allow you to connect to servers while you have non-default values inputted:
Remember to always put these values back to default if you wish to play on an Unturned server, as you will not be able to connect to any servers with your values modded. Always put your values back to default when you're done, especially if you plan to play on servers.
Where To Find The Files
Simply follow the first part of this guide to find the right place you want to be in:

Modding The Files
Weapons
Find any weapon you want to modify. Open the file that has the name of the weapon, not the one that says "English". In this file, you can modify
  • Inventory size
  • Player damage
  • Multipliers
  • Zombie damage
  • Animal damage
  • Barricade, structure, resource, object, and vehicle damage
  • Durability
  • Which slot it fits into
  • Range
For ranged weapons, you can also modify the firerate, recoil, spread, shake, and other things.

To modify these factors to your liking: --> "What the line is in the file"

Inventory Size: "Size" has x and y, which means the space in the inventory that the object takes up. X is horizontal and Y is vertical. If you want to change something to take up only one slot, you would make X=1 and Y=1.
Player Damage: "Player Damage" The base player damage that the object does.
Multipiers: "[Type]_[location]_Muliplier" How much the base player damage is multiplied. If you want, say, the headshots to do less damage, but still want the other damages to be the same, you would lower the number in the "skull_multiplier" section.
Zombie and Animal Damage: "Zombie Damage" or "Animal Damage" modify these to increase or decrease the damage that weapons do to animals and zombies. They have the same concept as player damage, with base damage and multipliers.
Barricade, structure, resource, object, and vehicle damage: "<---Same Names" Increase or decrease these number to increase or decrease the amount of damage that a weapon does to one of these objects. If, say, you want the katana to be able to chop down trees, you would increase the "resource" damage in the katana file.
Durability: "Durability" I believe the less the number, the more durable the item is. If you want to make a weapon more durable, you would decrease the number.
Which Slot: "Slot" Change which slot a weapon fits into. If you want the Hell's Fury to fit into the secondary slot, you would go into it's file and replace "primary" with "secondary".
Range: "Range" The range of the weapon. Increase to be able to hit farther shots with either a gun or a melee weapon.

Firerate: "Firerate" Increase to shoot faster.
Recoil: "Recoil" The amount of recoil a weapon has. Decrease this number to have less recoil from a weapon.
Spread: "Spread" Decrease these numbers to have less bullet spread when you're shooting. Has both hip and aim spread.

Food
Find any food item you want to modify. Open the file that has the name of the food item, not the one that says "English". In this file, you can modify
  • Inventory size
  • Max and Min Quality
  • How much food it gives you
  • How much water it gives you
  • The healing it gives you
  • The toxicity/disinfectant it gives you

Modifying: --> "What the line is in the file"

Inventory Size: "Size" The size the item takes up in your inventory. X is horizontal, Y is vertical.
How Much Food It Gives You: "Food" Increase the number for more of you hunger bar to go up when you eat this food. This way, you can get 100% food from a carrot, if you wanted. The number represents percentage of your hungar bar.
How Much Water It Gives You: "Water" Same as food, but gives you water, instead.
Healing: "Health" If it says "health", increase this number to give you health. You can make a food item have as much healing power as a medkit!
Toxicity/Disinfectant: "Toxicity" or "Disinfectant". Toxicity is bad, it will make your green bar go up, so the lower the number, the better. Disinfectant is good, so the higher the number, the better. The number represents the percentage of the green bar in the game.

Med Supplies
Find any med item you want to modify. Open the file that has the name of the med item, not the one that says "English". In this file, you can modify
  • Inventory Size
  • Health
  • Disinfectant
  • Bleeding

Modifying: --> "What the line is in the file"

Inventory Size: "Size" The size the item takes up in your inventory. X is horizontal, Y is vertical.
Health: "AidHealth" or "AirBleedingHealth". Increase this number to heal more effectively. The number represents the percentage of the health bar. If you want a med item that normally doesn't stop bleeing to be able to stop bleeding, replace "AidHealth" with "AidBleedingHealth".
Disinfectant: "Disinfectant" Increasing this number aids toxicity more. The bigger the number, the better. This number represents percentage the green bar in the game goes up.

If you want an item that normally only treats health to treat toxicity, you can add another line underneath "health" called "Disinfectant", then add a number after than line.

Optics
Find any optical item you want to modify. Open the file that has the name of the optical item, not the one that says "English". In this file, you can modify
  • Inventory Size
  • Zoom

Modifying: --> "What the line is in the file"

Inventory Size: "Size" The size the item takes up in your inventory. X is horizontal, Y is vertical.
Zoom: "Zoom" The amount of zoom the scope has. If you want to increase the zoom, make the number larger. If you want to decrease the zoom, make the number smaller.

Clothes
Find any clothing item you want to modify. Open the file that has the name of the clothing item, not the one that says "English". In this file, you can modify
  • Inventory Size
  • How Much They Can Hold
  • Armour

Inventory Size: "Size" The size the item takes up in your inventory. X is horizontal, Y is vertical.
How Much They Can Hold: "Width" and "Height". Width is how many slots the clothes have horizontally. Increase this number to have more slots to the right. Height is how many slots the clothes have vertically. Increase this number to have more slots up and down. The Military vest is 5 slots wide and 4 slots high: 5 x 4 = 20 slots. If I want more slots, I could increase the number of slots vertically or horizontally, or both. I could make the vest have 10 slots high and 6 slots wide: 10 x 6 = 60 slots.
Armour: "Armour" The amount the piece of clothing armours you. The lower the number, the more armour the clothing has. Decrease this number to increase the armour the clothing has.

How to make a mod in the workshop?
Simply copying the desired file and changing it does not work.

Great, I'd love to hear back if you find anything.
Pierre Mar 7, 2017 @ 9:25pm
Well I'll work on it.

@The Lone Hero. No, I don't think you can, at least not easily. You would need to create a mod, which the clients would have to download, too. I'm not exactly sure how to do this.

Can you make these stats transfer over to a server?
Vlad Ivanovich Conscriptanov Jan 4, 2017 @ 2:53pm
If you upload this to the workshop, will it actually work? (test this pls)

@CJ. Really? That's odd. You should be able to run the game normally.
