Welcome to one of the Not-So-Generic Focus Tree mods! This is the text only version of the mod, whereas its sibling mods--Buffed and Full Rework--are more ambitious.

          

What does this mod do?

It changes the names and descriptions of the focuses in the generic focus tree. The base game's names were dull and repetitive, with stuff like "Armament Effort I/II/III", which I thought could use improvement. The new names should be a bit more thematic.

Note: Some focuses outside of the generic tree use names from the generic tree. There's nothing I can do about this without making it not Ironman/Achievement-compatible. Speaking of which:

Is this mod Ironman/Achievement compatible?

Yes to both. You can earn Achievements with it enabled.

What other mods is it compatible with?

Anything that mods the English-localization file associated with focus trees ("focus_l_english.yml") will conflict with it and (most likely) cause it to not work properly. It should work with anything else.

You said this was a series of mods. What are the other ones?

There are three total in the series, meaning there are two others. They are:

• Not-So-Generic Focus Tree (Buffed), which buffs the generic Focus Tree to be more impactful.
  
• Not-So-Generic Focus Tree (Full Rework), which reworks the generic Focus Tree to not only be more impactful, but also provide more meaningful decisions and flavor.

The Steam Workshop subscription doesn't work for me. Where can I get a manual download?
