After participating in the Polycount 70s/80s contest i've been running kind of out of loop. Dunno why but this Desert Eagle took me ages. At least it felt like it. So here it is. I've been trying out this particular brushed metal effect you'd see on hunting rifles or watch faces. I think considering the technical circumstances it turned out pretty good.



The silver parts glare in the light and reveal the pattern more or less in different angles which makes it interesting to look at. I gave the gun a custom wood grip with gold grip inlays and a diamond pattern for better handling. I've added another rail to the top of the gun and some venting holes on the front of the slide. To contrast the silver slide i worked with a black frame and golden accent parts like the sights and several other parts. As the gun wears it becomes slightly bronze and collects several bloodstains.

I'll probably use the base of this to do a Desert Eagle Supercharged in the near future. I sure hope you like this one!
