Yeah, I know, the last jump was a bit of a troll on my part, but fortunately if you have enough time, and land high enough you can still make it. Hooray for Valve physics!

Of course! It looked very pretty, had some neat jumps that weren't too easy, had a cool concept (although I apparently didn't get the whole switches-do-this, buttons-do-that idea). The only other thing I could criticize is that in the last jump, at least for me it was hard to hit the portal surface, because walking over the edge even slowly gave me too much momentum and I landed in the water. Had to strafe over the edge to make it. But my nitpicking aside, it was good fun and, most importantly, looked great!

It may be the the peculiarities of the map, hardware or even Valve. I've experienced lag on other maps, usually with lasers, but not this one or any other because of the lighting. Sorry it happened to hit you with those lights.

That said, thank you for the comments, and I hope you at least got some satisfaction out of solving this little map.

I see. My problem with the switches I guess is that you don't immediately see what they do and sometimes have to carefully peek over the edge to find where the panel tilted. And the last one was even more confusing because I expected I'd have to look down again.
As you probably noticed, this is just minor nitpicking, not a major problem.

About the lag, I played quite a few community maps (among them some where other people reported problems with lag) and never experienced lag anywhere except on this one, that's why I mentioned it.

Thanks for the comment. Your the first person to complain about lag from the lighting, but I can understand why that would be a problem for older machines. As for the switches, they all do the same thing and that's to tilt panels to portal on. The first cube button is there to show you that the cube will raise stairs.

Sometimes annoying that you can't see what some switches do. Not sure what the first cube button was for. And looking at the wall littered with observation rooms made the game lag quite bad. Not sure if replacing them with light strips or putting some of them on other walls would help.

Thanks for the comments LPChip. Let me know if you try the other maps in the series.

A good map. Not really a portal puzzle, but its a portal map all the way. Since I'm a puzzle fan, I'd probably not play this level another time, but its a good level anyhow. It has some puzzle elements, but nothing mindblowing. That effect with the stairs coming on one by one is really well done. Awesome effect!

I would love to be able to add auto-save points to the map. But Valve didn't give us that ability. :-( I can only recommend that you quick-save (F6 by default) when you feel safe.
