Antigonid Dynasty

Adds the Greek Makedonia led by Antigonos Gonatas of the Antigonid Dynasty.

The Antigonid Dynasty is a civilization with a bonus towards city-state diplomacy, with a bonus towards spawning great people. While the Antigonids are excellent at peaceful play, the Antigonids are not defenseless in war: They have a powerful unique pikeman unit that is not only available earlier but stronger as well, making aggressive plays just as viable.

1 Global Happiness and World Congress vote for every 5 city-states allied or friendly with the Antigonid Dynasty, the first bonus vote given at 3 allied or friendly city-states. Spawning a Great Scientist, Engineer, General or Admiral grants the city a special building related to their field.

Replaces Pikemen. Tech requirement reduced to Mathematics, and combat strength increased to 18 and starts with Shock I. However, -15% combat penalty when attacking enemies in rough terrain, and negates the defensive bonuses from rough terrain.

Replaces Garden. Does not require fresh water to be built. Requires Philosophy instead of Theology, and is cheaper (120->110). Comes with a Philosopher specialist slot, which generates 2 Science, 2 Culture, and 2 Great Scientist Points.

Antigonos Gonatas was historically more of a political mind than a military one: as such, Antigonos isn't the most bold leader, and has a slightly lower than average aggression, but not low enough to be a pacifist. Antigonos will aim primarily for a diplomatic victory: after all, his UA is most suited to such a victory. He is likely to actively invest in city-states, but isn't too keen on protecting every single one like Ramkhamhaeng does, so it will take some time before Antigonos takes note of your city-state gobbling ways if you pursue that route. (Although with CP this will make the city-state competition more problematic)

Antigonos isn't particularly expansionist, preferring to stick with the few cities that he will want and develop them, reflecting on Antigonos's tendency to consolidate his gains rather than overextend. Antigonos will try for a few wonders but will not be a crazy wonder builder unless Antigonos is very ahead, and will focus primarily on culture and Great People, and focus Science and happiness next.

NOTE: This civilization was released through a workaround 7-Zip Compression instead of the ModBuddy's default compression due to the MSB4018 error. If the civilization will not unzip or install, manually download the .civ5mod file through Steam Downloader, change the file format to ZIP, and then use AlZip, WinZip, 7-Zip or any other unzipping program and unzip the content to the Mod folder. However, WinRar doesn't work, and if any unzipping programs do not work, try either AlZip or 7-Zip, which have been tested and proven to work.
