Power Transmitters

Descriere
Description

This mod adds 2 ways of transmitting power from one grid to another, wirelessly. Recharge your drones in your bay wirelessly, power your remote research outpost through satellites or stop your near orbit station from dropping onto the planet with power supply from the ground! Nothing is impossible!

1) Radial Power Transmitters

Small Radial Power Transmitter (Large block):

Size: 1x1x2
Upgrade slots: 8
Base input/output: 15MW
Receiver power formula: ( P(sent power in MW) * 1000 - d(distance in m)² * 0.0015 ) / ( 1000 * g(grids in range) )

Small Radial Power Transmitter (Small block):

Size: 1x1x2
Upgrade slots: 8
Base input/output: 3MW
Receiver power formula: ( P(sent power in MW) * 1000 - d(distance in m)² * 0.0015 ) / ( 1000 * g(grids in range) )

Small Radial Signal Aplifier (Large block):

Size: 1x1x1
Input/output additive multiplier: 3x

Small Radial Signal Aplifier (Small block):

Size: 1x1x1
Input/output additive multiplier: 3x

Radial Power Transmitters send power to all directions on specified channels, even through matter. They do not have a definite maximum range, instead the receiver gets no power when its received power is below 10kW and it is considered out of range. Their maximum power output and input can be raised with Small Radial Signal Amplifiers (3x).

Within its terminal interface, you can not only find all kinds of information on their current status (tag values, sent power, maximum range, and many more), but a compact example on how to set them up. Following is a more detailed version:

To configure it, you put "()" into the name of the transmitter. You can put several options in it, seperated by ",".
- "P:<PowerStrength>" defines the send power in Mega Watts. If you define more power then it is available on the grid, all power that is still available will be send. Inactive when in receiver mode.
- "C:<Channel>" defines the channel on which to send or receive power. Must be an integer from 0 upwards.
- "M:<Mode>" defines the current mode the transmitter is in, a receiver "R" or sender "S". By default a transmitter is in receiver mode.

An example can be found in the screenshots above. The Small Radial Power Transmitter is refered to "RPT (...)" there.

2) Optical Power Transmitters

Small Optical Power Transmitter (Large block):

Size: 1x1x2
Upgrade slots: 4
Base input/output: 50MW
Receiver power formula: P(sent power in MW) * 0.95 (constant power loss)
Maximum range: 40km

Small Optical Power Transmitter (Small block):

Size: 1x1x2
Upgrade slots: 4
Base input/output: 10MW
Receiver power formula: P(sent power in MW) * 0.95 (constant power loss)
Maximum range: 9km

Small Optical Signal Aplifier (Large block):

Size: 1x1x1
Input/output additive multiplier: 3x

Small Optical Signal Aplifier (Small block):

Size: 1x1x1
Input/output additive multiplier: 3x

Optical Power Transmitters send power to their target Optical Power Transmitter up to 40km away by using a non-visible high energy beam, but need a direct line of sight. You can raise their maximum power output by using Small Optical Signal Amplifiers (3x). They are probably the most energy efficient way of transfering power. They have a constant energy loss of 5% due to technical reasons that is not distance dependent.

Within its terminal interface, you can not only find all kinds of information on their current status (tag values, sent power, maximum range, link status to the target, and many more), but a compact example on how to set them up. Following is a more detailed version:

To configure it, you put "()" into the name of the transmitter. You can put several options in it, seperated by ",".
- "P:<PowerStrength>" defines the send power. If you define more power then it is available on the grid, all power that is still available will be send. Inactive when in receiver mode.
- "I:<ID>" defines the ID of the OPT. That ID has to be refered to when setting it up as an OPT's target.
- "T:<Target ID>" defines the target's ID as specified in the target OPT before.
- "M:<Mode>" defines the current mode the transmitter is in, a receiver "R" or sender "S". By default a transmitter is in receiver mode.

An example can be found in the screenshots above. The Small Radial Power Transmitter is refered to "OPT (...)" there.

3) Remote Power Converter:

Remote Power Converter (Large block):

Size: 1x1x1
Infinite Potential Maximum Output

Remote Power Converter (Small block):

Size: 1x1x1
Infinite Potential Maximum Output

The Remote Power Converter must be placed on each grid that should receive power, you only need A SINGLE ONE on each grid (in addition to the transmitter(s)). The transmitters direct their incoming power forms into this advanced device that transforms it into electrical power that can be used as usual on the grid. It can take as much power as all transmitters on the grid combined.

Bugs:

- If you have issues with sending on the correct channel with RPTs, try deleting all configuration tags and start with the channel first, and with the mode last

Future additions:

- More powerful versions
- Quantum Transmitters
- Config file

Not Sure what these other buys are talking about. I just tested this mod and its working as intended. The description tells you to use this naming scheme but in the control panel there are toggles and fields where you can enter the desired values to setup the transmitters up.

Invisible model??

Is it actually not working or is it just not updated to the latest version and throwing warnings because of that? I know that's a common issue with mods for games that are updated quite regularly.

Hello, (Google Translator)

mod is outdated and no longer works. One can only hope that the mod developer will want to upgrade it again at some point. Or hope someone adopts this mod and upgrades. Is a very good mod.

See You.

I got the radial version to work fine.
The optical version seems to work for a moment, then stops.

Would love to know how you got this to work. I have been fidgeting with it for hours to no avail.

Love this, took some doing to figure out but got it to work.

did he stop the mod?

Not working properly, and quite complex to set up. Remote Receiver not working.
Oh, and your grids also need separate power sources, as you can't just send power without at least a single battery.
TheKing 21 29 ian. 2023 la 5:38
Yeah its not working for me too
