Will my ship hover
By darth_milium
Everyone(alright not everyone, but..) is hyped for planets, but how do you know if it is going to float. You could of course test it with a few mods, but it would take some time. So here the easy ecaution
F = newtons outputted by thrusters(you can see it in the menu by selecting them
M = mass of ship

(F*0.8)/10-M
If it's positive you're well able to float and even rise in 1g natural gravity.If it isn't you should get some extra thrusters
Natural gravity pulls with 10 N a kilo and the 0.8 is used to counter that you can't use full thrust normally

Thanks for your attention and you're welcome if you needed it

I just tested it. On a planet. SHIFT THE HYPE TRAIN TO MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE!
