How to Join
This is a step-by-step guide on how to find a server which you can play PASS time on. The red squares used in the images are used to represent the area in which you should click.

It won't look exactly like yours as I am using a custom HUD (A visual reskin) though the name and the rough locations of the buttons should be the same.

1) If you're not already on the main menu screen, go to it.

2)Click "Play"

3)Tick the box which says "Play beta maps", if this is already ticked, don't touch it.

4)Click "Play Now!" if you want a server to be found for you or click "Show Servers" if you'd like to manually find one yourself.

If you cannot see the PASS Time screen, use the navigation arrows on the left and right to scroll through the gamemodes available.
How it Works
A football or "soccer ball" will spawn in the middle of the map. It drops from a box above when the game starts and after a small delay after a goal has been scored.

The aim is to throw the ball into the opposing teams goal. If you're on BLU team, you have to throw it in the red coloured goal on the red coloured side. If you're on RED team, you have to throw it in the blue coloured goal on the blue coloured side.

RED's Goal

BLU's Goal

You have the options to "pass" the ball by throwing it to a team mate, this makes it harder for the enemy team to defned against your attack. An team coloured icon appears and this means the ball can be thrown and it'll home into the person you're throwing it to. You can also throw it normally. You throw by pressing left click by default or the attack button. In order to score a goal, you need to throw the ball into the hole in the opposing team's goal.

While playing you will see some team coloured icons around the map, these are the members of your team. While carrying the ball however, team coloured icons of the opposing team will also be visible allowing you to plan your movements. While carrying the ball, members of each team will get an icon saying where the ball is and therefore the person carrying the ball. This makes you a high target. You also get a team coloured trail making it easier to track the ball carrier.

You can get the ball from an enemy by either knocking against them or by killing them and picking up the ball. When no-one has the ball, it will have a white trail.

You can "ask" for the ball by pressing "Z" "X" or "C" by default or the in-game call-out buttons and then pressing "9". [Please don't spam it though, it's annoying, be respectful]

Recommended Classes to Play
The recommended classes to play, are Scout and Engineer. Scout for attacking and Engineer for defending. This is because of Scout's high mobility and Engineer's capability for area defence. Spies are also good as they can counter Engineer's building's.

All classes have their potential benefits while playing PASS Time however these seem to be the most popular and logically, the most effective classes.

This being said, if scouts keep on attacking an engi nest, they will die repeatedly as scout is a low health/close range class and isn't specialised to destroy an engineer's buildings. This means power classes such as soldiers and demos can also be effective though as previously stated, it's very much dependant on the situation.

Recommended Loadouts to Use
Scout 1 [High Mobility]
  • Soda Popper
  • Crit-a-Cola/Pistol
  • The Sandman

Scout 2 [High Speed]
  • Baby Face's Blaster
  • Crit-a-Cola/Pistol
  • The Sandman

Soldier [Ball carrier passes to soldier while parachuting in the air]
  • Any primary
  • B.A.S.E. Jumper Parachute
  • Escape Plan

Demo-Knight [Trimping]
  • Ali Baba's Wee Booties
  • Tide Turner
  • Persian Persuader

Defensive Heavy [Slows down/high damage to scouts]
  • Natascha or other minigun
  • Shotgun/Sandvich
  • Gloves of Running Urgency

Medic [Quick-Fixes to ball carrier]
  • Any
  • Quick-Fix
  • Uber-Saw

Tips and Tricks
You can use the ramps on the top floors to grab the ball mid-air when it drops.

You can use cover and ledges to hide sentries from attackers

Height is a massive advantage to both attackers and defenders. It is much easier to hit someone below you then it is above you. It is also much easier to move downwards then it is upwards so starting up high is a good idea. The ledges and walkways on the right side of the enemy team base are great for getting about.

Probably degreaser, powerjack and flaregun since you can reflect the ball and the powerjack means you can move around.
