Windows 10 no sound FIX

Introduction

Well, i'm doing this because i was tired of dumb answers, if you use the Windows 10 you may have this problem, the game have no sound. Gaijin dont extend the support for this problem because Windows 10 inst "OUT" yet then they just give a big ♥♥♥♥ you for us. After a tons of trolls and smartass peoples bullshiting on me on forums i found one solution, i hope this work for you guys.

Windows 10 NO SOUND Fix

After a tons of trolls and smartass peoples bullshiting on me on forums i found one solution, i hope this work for you guys.

Requirements:

• Have Windows 10
  
• Play War Thunder
  
• Know the basics of Windows
  
• Know how to type stuff on text
  
• POTATOS
  
  
  
  
  

Procedures

Step one

Go on notepad and create a new file

Step two

Type "Start-Process (Aces.exe path)"

Start-Process ‘C:\........\......\War Thunder\Aces.exe’

DO NOT PUT LAUNCHER.EXE OR FORGET ACES.EXE!

this sould look something like this:

 Start-Process 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\War Thunder\aces.exe'

Save this as WarThunder_SoundFix.ps1 on your War Thunder folder.

Step three

Now go on the file and create a shortcut and send to the desktop or where you want ( this will be your launcher).
Right click on shortcut and go on Properties then put the following code on "Target" BEFORE the path.

C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -file [/b]

Make sure there will be a space after "-file". Will be something like that:

C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -file C:\Users\Derp\Desktop\WT_SoundFix.ps1

Go on Advanced and check to run as Administrator, save and close.

Step Four

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease a 1-quart casserole dish.
   
   
2. Spread about 1/3 of the potatoes into the bottom of the prepared dish. Mix flour and salt together in a bowl; sprinkle about 1/3 of the mixture over the potatoes. Dot potato layer with about 1/3 of the butter. Sprinkle about 1/3 of the onion over the potatoes. Repeat layering twice more.
   
   
3. Stream milk over the potato mixture in the casserole. Sprinkle paprika over everything.
   
   
4. Bake in preheated oven until the top is nicely browned, about 1 hour.
   
   
5. Serve this with cold enemy team tears

Notes

This will make the ace.exe run with Windows Power Shell, looks like there is some kind of problem with War Thunder launcher to recognize the aplication on something ... i dont really care about the problem and didnt look much about that.

When you run the shortcut you will recive one dialog box about the game start direcly without the launcher may have a outdated verion and ♥♥♥♥, just lick NO, you can update your game via launcher as normal. you only need the shortcut for play the game.

English is not my native language and i dont have any kind of degree, so dont bother me with grammar and ♥♥♥♥, i will not reply.

I had a few issues that i had to resolve, but once i atleast TRIED resolving it myself. I got it all to work :D Just make sure the paths are all accurate. and then yup, all issues fixed. Thumbs up!

Start-Process 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\War Thunder\aces.exe'

10130 is more stable than full window's 10 in my opinion, which is why i actually downgraded. Now if only i can tell what im actually supposed to be putting in the notepad as thiers like 3 things you want me to put in :/

10130 no sound confirmed, only this fix it for me.

it's the insider preview version of windows 10 which is available since October last year.
while this workaround indeed works (on the builds 10122 - 10158) it doesnt seem to be necessary anymore because on the latest build (10159) the sound is working again...

though there might be more builds being released before the final release of the OS and the sound may 'break' again ;)
