Professional Difficulty Save Game Fix

A guide to help resolve Hitman: Contracts not saving between missions at professional difficulty.

The issue is caused by the installer not creating the required Save folder. Either of the methods within this guide will resolve it.

Method 1: Save a Game at Normal or Expert Difficulty
  1. Run Hitman: Contracts. Skip the bumpers and cutscene videos by pressing Esc.
  2. Click Play from the main menu.
  3. Click either Normal or Expert.
  4. After the cutscene, press ESC to open the in-game menu, click Save, then Create Game.
  5. (Optional) You can delete the newly created saved game by clicking Delete Save Games, selecting the most recent Asylum Aftermath save then click Yes.
  6. You can quit the mission and return to the main menu.
Hitman: Contracts should now save correctly between missions at Professional difficulty.
Method 2: Manually Create the Missing Save Folder
  1. Quit Hitman: Contracts, if it is running.
  2. Click Library, then locate and right-click Hitman: Contracts.
  3. From the context menu that appears, click Properties....
  4. Click Installed Files tab.
  5. Click Browse... button, a window with the Hitman: Contracts game files will appear.
  6. From this window, create a new folder called:
    Save
  7. You can now close both the file explorer and Installed Files window.
Hitman: Contracts should now save correctly between missions at Professional difficulty.

I created a folder called Save but it didnt work, should I delete that folder and make a new one?
