'Writer' Fighter

Description
The Writer is a staple of many nation's Navy's, known for it's supreme speed and handling. It boasts four gatling guns and rocket launchers, and is battery powered (two batteries with internalized mini-reactors for trickle charging). It is easily capable of outmaneuvering and outgunning most other fighters of similar size, if flown by an experienced pilot, all without a large increase in size over the fighter's distant cousin (and inspiration) the Extricator.

Edit: I made some changes in acordance with Ж terzaerian Ж's review. Now with brighter colors, more (and better grouped) launchers, extra landing gear, and another large thruster, along with some other small changes.

Pics with a dark ship are old, lighter ship pics are new. Kept the old ones because they show more than the three new.

I suppose I should just rip those launchers off. The only 'safe' one is the one in the center, but I wanted more, so I just sort of added them how they look cool and now it kills itself every time you fire and turn.

This is one of the ships I may add O2 systems for. Really liked the look of this ship.

I'm sensing a pattern with my ships. Apparenty now-a-days I'm making them fast and maneuverable. I like it! And thank you for another awesome review!

I made the mistake of firing the missile launchers while making maneuvers. Most of the forward weapons are missing now... attribute this to poor piloting and a bit to a design flaw where the guns are positioned to be ahead of the missile launchers.

The ship needs to be updated to include an o2 system, and aside from the weapons tearing the front of the ship apart I dont have any complaints. Its fast, maneuverable, and as long as a pilot is a bit careful while using the missile launchers would prove to be a very formiddable opponent in the field.

I know the Writer 2,0 is out, but I figred I'd leave the review for you to consider.

Aesthetics: ★★★★☆

The Writer is simultaneously a highly conventional, yet unusual, design - a fuselage with two engine pods which handle acceleration and turning, but on closer inspection many more details become evident...

Systems: ★★★★☆

The Writer is a well-balanced, sound ship. While its acceleration feels a little sleepy, it makes up for it with decent thruster balance, and in general handles well. Everything is conveyed, and the ship includes landing gear and drone capabilities...

Armament: ★★★☆☆

Armament is where the Writer seems to come up shortest - its loadout of four cannons is fair enough, and with a medium cargo container, they should definitely last a while. The four box launchers that come with, however, are quickly exhausted...

Overall: 3.6 out of 5 ★.
