I find it easiest to do this with the Electro Batteries myself. I think it's easier to get a hold of four of those, and there are more Electro anomalies later in the game, at least through Pripyat.

you may have noticed his health going up, its a result of immunities, actor conditions, multipliers/factors from atrefacts, if you alter the ltx for atrefacts you could achieve this condition with a single fireball
