Gameplay wise, nfs payback is alright. The car selection and customization is good. However, Here's where the problems come in. For one, the upgrade system is completely rng based. Instead of being able to upgrade a certain part of your car at any time like in most other racing games, You have to go to an upgrade shop and buy cards that increase and decrease certain stats. Only 8 cards are purchasable at one time before being refreshed 10 minutes later. This sucks because a lot of the time, you're not guaranteed any good cards and you have to wait 10 minutes to see if the next batch of cards has anything good. Now in order to combat this terrible upgrade system, the game has MICROTRANSACTIONS. They're not on the level of mobile games, but still. Secondly, there's no roaming police in free roam. The only time you get chased by the cops are on story missions or if you pick up crates that are randomly scattered around the map. I get not every nfs game has had police, but in every game that did, the police were way more of a threat in them than in this game. Third, the game has car classes. Meaning you can't have cars that are dedicated for multiple things. This also affects the upgrade system because a lot of the randomly stocked cards might increase or decrease a stat you don’t want increased/decreased on the specific car you’re trying to upgrade. Fourth Probelm, payback isn’t optimized well at all. Despite the game not looking as good as the 2015 reboot of need for speed, my fps would drop below 60 In some areas on high settings even though in nfs 2015, the fps would never drop below 60 on ultra settings. Lastly, the voice acting in this game is pretty mediocre and our main character isn't that interesting.

I loaded up the first level and i'm greeted with a screen ripped entirely from another one of dev's games called "War of power: the last fight" which makes absolutely no sense in the context of this game. Also, There's absolutely nothing different about this game meaning every issue and flaw with the first Doom in the dark is present here as well, And i wasn't able to get far in this one because almost every enemy you kill beyond the first batch or two respawns, which they aren't supposed to do, and the dev refuses to fix that issue.

I did play this game for a bit and its so god awful its not even worth the dollar that the dev asks for it.

First off, the game is poorly optimized. Now maybe it is just my specs but I have a hard time believing that. I have an rtx 3050 ti which Ik has a low amount of vram but even at the lowest visual settings in this game, the frame rate was dropping below 45 fps and would stay there most of the time. Secondly, the auto-save feature this game has is checkpoint based so the game won’t save until you reach a certain spot and you can’t manually save either. Meaning if you die in between the first and second autosave spot, you’ll pick up right at the first autosave spot. Third of all, there was one specific part that I spent so much time trying to get past and I just couldn’t no matter what, It felt rigged against me. You walk into a part of the pyramid that has arrow cannons at the end of it and it starts to fire like 500 arrows per second at you and the cannons are placed so that the arrows fired cover basically the entire hallway. The walls in that area do have pillars that stick out into the hall a bit, and the cannons do pause their fire maybe every…10 seconds of firing for a few seconds which gives you an opportunity to move up the hall and get behind a pillar to avoid the arrows being fired at you but that doesn’t even really work because 5 out of the hundreds of arrows being fired down the hall still hit you even through the pillars. You can’t make it past the arrow cannons without dying unless maybe you have full health before you do it but trust me, there is no way you’re going to get to that point of the game without having taken any damage beforehand. And finally, I like how in the Features section on the Steam page it says There are “Weapons” but no, there is only one weapon in the entire game which is a ue4 marketplace pistol. Also, the dev leaves the game console enabled in all of his games for some reason so I used it to noclip around the map to see if I can find any other weapon picks and I didn’t find one.

This isn’t a game, this is a Project Mkultra torture experiment disguised as a “Game” if you can even call it that. Do NOT buy this.

I used to play this game on my ps3 when I was younger, never completed it though. I’ve been playing it on pc for a while now and I’m almost done, I just have the #1 most wanted left to beat. Is this a true successor to the 2005 nfs most wanted? No, not even close. Though despite that and all the flaws this game has, its still a fun and enjoyable game even though a bunch of content was cut from it, and you definitely should check it out.

Update: Ok so I did more digging and discovered why this game doesn’t resemble 2005 Most wanted in the slightest. So in 2017, footage of early builds of 2012 Most wanted were released and it was basically a completely different game that looked and played like a true sequel to the 2005 Most Wanted. It even had the same gritty atmosphere. But for some ungodly reason, EA forced Criterion to completely dismantle that build of the game and rebuild 2012 most wanted from the ground up into what it is Today. Aka, a game that has absolutely no similarities to the original most wanted. So basically, it wasn’t Criterion’s fault that this game came out the way it did, It was EA’s fault for completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ them over.

I remember playing this game on my Playstation 3, So when i saw it on steam and found out my gaming laptop could run it i knew i HAD to buy it. About the game itself, It's action packed, Fast paced (Of course cause its a Racing game), and its reckless. This game is #1 when it comes to Reckless driving in my book.

Before Black Mesa was fully released this year, I saw gameplay videos of it before it was finished. At the time i did not know this was a fan made project so i Literally thought this was made by valve until of course, I read a comment on a youtube video that this was a fan game. That's how convincing this game is, And i also learned that this game was in the works for 15 years. I had no idea, That fact and this game is Amazing!

I’m perhaps the only person in existence to have completed this game start to finish, and I didn’t expect such a mess of a game when I first bought it.

First off, the spaceman zombies will Jitter like crazy and i can’t take them seriously, not to mention they’re slow as hell. Second, if you shoot your primary while aiming down sights, the smoke particles from the muzzle are so intense, they actually block your line of sight and you can’t see what you’re aiming at. Third, 90% of the weapons you can buy in this game are the exact same guns, just with different skins and scopes on them. Only exception to this are a few Silenced pistols you can buy, but if I remember correctly, they behave the same way the desert eagle and its Reskins do. You can also buy “shotguns” but get this, the shotguns in this game use the same model as the AR’s, just with a different sight, and behave like shotguns internally. Like bruh…

Other things include there being no save feature in this game at all. So if you die while playing through the first space station, you have to start all the way back at the beginning of said space station which is why my hour count in this game is multiple times the amount it takes to complete both stations. Another thing is when you kill any enemy, their ragdolls don’t stay still and certain parts constantly move in weird ways on their own. Lastly, when you pick up medkits, it makes a soda can opening sound effect…

Don’t buy this, please.

Edit: Oh yeah I forgot to mention that when I played this game, none of the achievements worked which is why I haven’t scored any despite completing the game.
