I've always loved West of Loathing, from the cowboy aesthetic, to the laugh-out-loud comedy, it was an amazing experience. And I have to say, Shadows over Loathing does NOT disappoint! The theme, 1920s Prohibition combined with Lovecraftian Horror, is great, and the comedy is even better! I found myself laughing more, if not just as much as I did when I played West of Loathing. The classes were a bit lackluster, and I do wish that each one had a bit more of an identity, but they were still fun to play with. The combat is also a definite step up from the combat in West of Loathing, it's a lot harder, and does require actual strategy. I'm not the best at structuring reviews, but overall, Shadows over Loathing is a 10/10!
