A Nostalgic Adventure Filled with Fond Memories

Ark: Survival Evolved holds a special place in my gaming journey. From the moment it launched into early access, I was captivated by its prehistoric world and the endless possibilities it offered. This game is a treasure trove of nostalgia for me, as it has brought me countless unforgettable memories throughout my secondary school years.

One of the standout aspects of Ark is the way it fosters a sense of camaraderie and teamwork among friends. I can still vividly recall gathering my friends and creating tribes, embarking on epic adventures together. Whether it was conquering challenging PvP servers, thriving on PvE servers, or even creating our own custom servers, every experience was a bonding moment. The thrill of raiding rival tribes, defending against attacks, and the late-night quests for just a few more minutes of playtime are memories that I will cherish forever.

Ark: Survival Evolved is not without its flaws, however. The game has had its fair share of bugs, AI and pathfinding issues, hitbox problems, and various other exploits. These issues can be frustrating at times, and they highlight areas where the game could use improvement. However, despite these flaws, the core experience remains truly captivating.

One of the defining features of Ark is the sheer scale of its gameplay. Building massive bases, taming and riding majestic dinosaurs, and exploring the vast open world are all part of the grand adventure. I still remember the excitement of leading one of the largest tribes on the entire server, breeding and mutating powerful dinosaurs, and constructing a sprawling base fortified by behemoth gates. These achievements brought a tremendous sense of accomplishment and pride.

Although I may take breaks from Ark from time to time, I find myself inevitably returning to the game every few months, especially when friends gather for another round of prehistoric survival. The allure of the game's world, the thrill of exploration, and the joy of shared experiences with friends always draw me back.

Ark: Survival Evolved is an imperfect gem that has left an indelible mark on my gaming journey. Its flaws are evident, but the memories, friendships, and adventures it has provided outweigh any technical shortcomings. If you have a love for prehistoric worlds, the thrill of survival, and the bonds forged through cooperative play, Ark: Survival Evolved is a game that will capture your imagination and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Somehow even with all the delays, the game is far from being good. The game lacks in every possible aspect. Would not recommend the game as of now.

Survival -
The survival is easy, and far worse compared to the last game, with no need to actually 'survive' on the island. You can easily walk around and complete the story without needing to settle down with a base or anything like that. There is currently not enough things to build or craft, and it seems unnecessary to do anything but just walk around completing the story. Very little to no punishment for starving, being dehydrated, being tired and dying. Which makes the survival side of the game very boring.

The Island -
The cannibals are very cool, feeling them stalking you and launching attacks on you is terrifying. The island itself has a great vibe, however it seems too big and just feels like a walking simulator as you walk from point to point to do the mission with little to no threat as you can easily run from the cannibals. The backside of the map just seems barren with little going on apart from the bunkers, you have no real need to explore over there apart from when doing the story.

The Story - *SPOLIERS*
When finding the dead team members and first exploring the caves, this game is awesome. However as soon as you get to the bunker with the katana and golden suit, the story falls off. The game changes it's plot and goes for a sci-fi demon thing when you get into the artifact cave and because of this, it feels very cheap and unfinished. The ending is awful and leaves no explanation of whats going on, who the characters are, or anything. It is one of the worst ending to any game ever as of right now.

All in all the game is painfully easy and lacking of content. The game is currently in early access so I'll cut it some slack, but I would not recommend buying the game. It took me about 10 hours to complete the game, but it could easily be done in 5 hours.

This game is highly unbalanced and one of the worst ragdoll fighting games I have played. Part animals, which is coming out soon, is much so much better.

You can get a lot of fun out of this but the easy ways to confirm yourself with visual tasks makes the game become very easy very quickly.

A Masterpiece That Stands the Test of Time

Skyrim holds a special place in my heart. Since its release over a decade ago, it has captivated me with its breathtaking open world, immersive characters, and boundless possibilities. In my opinion, no game can surpass the brilliance that Skyrim embodies.

One of the standout features of Skyrim is its vast open world. From the towering mountains to the lush forests and sprawling cities, the game presents a visually stunning and highly immersive environment. Exploring every nook and cranny of this vast realm is an adventure in itself, filled with hidden secrets, breathtaking vistas, and unexpected encounters.

The diverse NPCs in Skyrim breathe life into this world. Each character is intricately crafted, with their own personalities, stories, and motives. Whether it's the enigmatic Dark Brotherhood assassins, the honorable Companions, or the conniving Thieves Guild, every interaction feels meaningful and contributes to the depth of the overall narrative.

Speaking of the narrative, Skyrim's main story is a grand epic that draws players into a world of dragons, prophecies, and destiny. Yet, it's the extensive side quests and guild storylines that truly make Skyrim shine. These quests are rich in detail and offer hours upon hours of engrossing gameplay. Whether you're battling through ancient ruins, solving intricate mysteries, or navigating complex political struggles, each quest feels like a fully realized adventure in its own right.

The DLC expansions introduced even more content and excitement to an already impressive game. The additional areas to explore, quests to undertake, and unique items to acquire further enriched the Skyrim experience. The recent Anniversary Edition breathed new life into the game, making it feel more vibrant and alive than ever before.

What sets Skyrim apart is its incredible modding community. The ability to mod the game opens up endless possibilities, allowing players to customize and expand the game in ways unimaginable. From graphical enhancements to new quests, items, and even entire overhauls, mods let you tailor your Skyrim experience to suit your preferences, ensuring that no two adventures are ever the same.

My personal journey with Skyrim began when my dad introduced me to the game on the Xbox 360. Watching him play for hours sparked my curiosity, and once I picked up the controller, I was hooked. Dual-wielding a combination of Dawnbreaker and the Nightingale blade as a stealthy assassin remains etched in my memory as some of my most thrilling moments in gaming.

Even after all these years, Skyrim continues to capture my imagination. Its vast world, compelling characters, and limitless possibilities make it a timeless masterpiece. For me, no game will ever surpass the magic and wonder that Skyrim delivers. If you haven't experienced this gem yet, I implore you to embark on this unforgettable adventure.
