This review is only after playing Ultra-Violence, going on Nightmare playthrough as of current.

This game is good. This game is pretty great. This is the most fun I've had with a game since Overwatch launched back in May of '16.

So to help illustrate what this game is like for those who've played DOOM '16, think of this as the cocaine-addict little brother who keeps ramming his head into a wall.

Me, personally, think that this is multitudes better than 2016, and that's seemingly contrary to some of the more extensive reviews. Let me explain.

First off, the game has color. Holy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ god is this so much more pleasing on the eyes than the constant gray, brown, orange, and red.

Secondly, it's fast. 2016 felt too slow to me, you had walk and jump and that's all you got, sometimes you just had to take damage because you couldn't move fast enough and the game felt sluggish at times. Here in Eternal, you got monkey bars and dashes, and when you get going in the combat you're constantly in this dance of running in close, dashing away, and going back in the next second and taking no damage.

Thirdly, it's more methodical in the approach to combat. Some people dislike this new gameplay, I love it. I think making your own resources is much better than just having what the arena gives to you. It opens new avenues for sitting in the middle of the map drowning in armor and energy cells.

Lastly, the soundtrack is better. I didn't remember any of the soundtracks from 2016 that I liked, I don't remember liking them whatsoever. The music in this game is less like generic prog-metal. It's now relatively less generic prog-metal and that's palatable. But whoever decided to include BFG Division in the game again, ♥♥♥♥ you. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate BFG Division, it is a disgrace upon my ears, the fact that I have wasted life listening to BFG Division will haunt me until the end of my days and forever afterwards.

It's pretty good, get it, or don't. There's a cracked version that doesn't have denuvo that probably runs better then what you can get on steam if you can find that.

If you ain't got the cash for BO3 and you want customs, get this. If BO3 customs suck for whatever reason get this. If you want to play a game that isn't full of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crates, get this.

Now, I see you saying that geese are not great fighters, but I can tell you that geese are powerful foes. One time, a goose sat in one spot and looked at me. I feel as if I can beat Knee 3-0 if I use a goose as a fighter. By this if you have a fascination with geese.

This game is made by a true god, for other gods. This game will test your skill in how long you can last before hanging yourself from playing this true masterpiece.

If you don't play the game on One Down exclusively, only going loud, you are playing the game wrong. Also always wear the chef hat so you can please Guy Fieri and gain access to flavortown DLC,
