With close to 300 hours in the game, I feel its safe to say that its great and all, but there are some very minor things that make up a very large issue. For one, it does not get the dev support that is should. The optimazation is pretty bad, at this point its become an issue to the point were you can have a fairly well endowed PC and still have trouble running the game. A second issue is that the servers should be region locked. To an extent. Its sorta hard to jump in with a random squad and work well together if all you get is somebody screaming chinese at you. However, doing NA and UK servers isnt terrible. Connection is good and I can understand them when they say, "I got knocked by a dude with a frying pan, dear god help me". The desert map is quite frankly terrible. Its too open and requires a lot to render everything if you have your view distance up. On top of that, it lacks the variety that the Russian map had. My recomendation? Ditch the desert, get an arctic or strict city map. Both provide a lot of opportunity for variation. (like a blizzard that limits vision, much like fog. Only incliment weather is cooler). This game is filled with cheaters. Thats a huge amke or break for a game. I mean unless you like walking into a house and getting gunned down like old yeller by a dude with a shotgun whos LOOKING AT THE FLOOR AND FIRING HIS HAPPY SELF TO CHEATER HEAVEN. I personally dont.

This game has potential but zero attention. Fortnite is basic and appealing because its well optimized (even though it is cartoons) and vibrant. H1Z1 is trying to come out of the woodwork as another battle royal game, but it is well behind PUBG and Fortnite.
