This game makes me shiver. It makes me cold... Physically.

At first, I expected some really bad graphics. I didn't like how it looked at first; the artstyle, I mean. But it grew on me.
With each step and story that I completed in The Long Dark, it revealed how cold the game really was. It's more immersive than you think. It gives meaning to, "Survive The Quiet Apocalypse." There's music from time to time, but it makes you feel like you're taking a daring trek in the middle of the night to get fresh water. It makes you feel like there are green eyes, peering at you from around every tree; every snowbank. It makes you feel like you're truly and utterly alone. The feeling of cold solitude washing over you as you realize there is little you can do about it.

This game, the graphics, the backstory, the main story, the redone dialog... It's all amazing. I highly recommend this game for anyone willing to take a challenge against the harsh wilderness of Northern Canada. The Long Dark is truly a masterpiece to behold.

Edit in Jan 2023: i saw the DLC and I am tempted to buy it. I'll wait till it goes on sale or something tho.

Do you like explosions? How about yeeting some enemies over cliffs? Or how about FIREY explosions? Gun, guns, GUNS?

The answer? Yes. Yes you do. And this game has it.

From it's comedy to it's combat, Borderlands 2 holds a place in my heart for the most b a d a s s game I've played in a long time. Aside from the bazillion guns you get, they are each is its own, and I have never held the same gun in my hands. The graphhics are fun and pop out, much unlike other games I've seen. Seriously, if you get a chance to get this game, do yourself a favor and get it. Gift it! Play with your friends! Blow stuff up! Light people on fire!

Just hit 1,000 hours! I cannot believe the time I've spent in this program and how much fun it would be. It can get stressful at times, yeah. But when you have good music, good inspiration, it's amazing. To all of those who have criticized me, and maybe even mocked me, thank you. Thank you for helping me get to where I am at now. And an even bigger thank you to my supporters and friends for bringing me to the highest point <3

As I play through this game with the sounds, the visuals, and the feel, I couldn't help but notice that this game had woven it's way into my daily life and dreams. I highly recommend this game for those who want a turning, mystical, twisting story.

Through the years I have found myself learning bass, struggling with a job and my morale. NITW has shown me that we all have problems on the inside, whether or not we want to show them. I see myself like Mae Borowski. I see myself lost in these woods trying to find myself and what is right. Through an ever-changing world I find myself with only a handful of friends that i can rely on.

It's gotten more realistic as I play through the game again.. It's really weird. It's almost creepy how this affects MY personal town where I live.
