You see, for some reason, I've become so emotionally vulnerable. And I've easily fallen for guys who are way much younger than I am. Why? Of course, I'm just an ancient vampire brushing elbows with folks relatively untouched by time. Perhaps, I'm drawn to their innocence, to life not much speckled with emotional encumbrance, without much history of life being shared with someone else.

I don't want to compete against someone with a shared past. I don't want to be compared.

I have so many insecurities that I would withdraw from someone when I think I would only taint the person. With bat wings, I would fly away before I could begin making history to a prospect lover.

Hence, time would pass me by. Nights would go on and I would only age and age more. I've settled with the notion that I would settle in this undead life alone than risk biting someone prematurely.

I would inadvertently fall out of love just as quickly as I've fallen in love with the person. Then when I thought my heart has calmed down, there goes another young person disturbing my system again.

To everyone whose life I've touched unknowingly, I'm terribly sorry. I didn't mean to disturb your system in as much as you disturbed mine.
