This is a really big step up from the first game although it still does have a lot of the faults from said game. That being said, It still holds up and the pawn system is still one of the best mechanics out there. Do give it a try if you're into RPGs!

The only other experience I have with Tekken is Tekken 4 from the PS2 era, and that game had a much darker tone than Tekken 8. I still enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would though. It's actually finished unlike MK1, so that's a good plus.

The game does have problems, especially for someone like me that sticks to single-player modes. There's a huge lack of content in comparison to past games. No Krypt, no Living Towers/Towers of Time, Challenge Tower, intro dialogues were gutted, character customization is bare-bones, game feels much more grindy, no AI battles, and I can really keep on going.

Literally the only things to do after playing through Story Mode (which is like 6 hours) is to play through a couple of klassic towers and Invasions, which are both very underwhelming and grindy. At worst I would give the game a 6.0 and at best a 6.5 to 7.0.

I know that people like to bash the 3D Era games, but one of the things that those games did right was single-player modes. Why can't we go back to those days?

The Good:
-Roster is pretty good (Big W for Rain making the base roster, as well as several 3D Era Kharacters making a return).
-Story is alright, except for the last couple of chapters.
-Kameo system is alright. It reminds of the assist system from Marvel vs Capcom 1 and I've always liked that concept. It's also nice to see kharacters like Stryker, Darrius, and Shujinko again.
-The gameplay is smooth and balanced (for the most part).
-Invasions are fun for the first couple of hours.
-The fatalities are some of the best in the franchise so far.

The Bad
-Feels much more grindy than MK11.
-Character Customization is very barebones.
-No stage fatalities, friendships, babalities like from past games.
-The story goes into more time-travel and multiverse BS in the last couple of chapters.
-Huge lack of single-player kontent. Would be nice to see past game modes like Chess Kombat, Konquest, Motor Kombat, and Challenge Towers make a return. No Towers of Time/Living Towers either.
-Intro dialogues from Mortal Kombat X, Injustice 2, and MK11 have been completely gutted in this game. They do exist, but only if you play a specific mode.
-Invasions is fun, but only for the first couple of hours and then it becomes a chore to play through.
-The PC port is very stuttery. It's playable, but the performance does have issues even after the latest patch.

Runs like garbage and everything looks like plastic. It's also missing what made the original trilogy unique in each game. Play the originals if you can.

I bought this game on release back in 2013 and have completed it 100% on Switch, 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and now am working on the PC version. It's one of those games I could never tired of, and I'm not a fan of pirate based games. If you haven't played this game, then please do! It's really good!

It's a cutesy farming game much like Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing, so if that's your type of game then definitely give this a try since it's pretty good. It is a bit more the pricey side though, so I would wait until a sale.

This was the first game I played when I got my PS5 a couple of years ago and it's still really fun to play. The port's really good too with only a few hiccups.

Darkstalkers is such a great franchise to play on modern platforms! Red Earth and Cyberbots are nice additions too!

This game is actually really innovative for its time despite some of the flaws. That being said, if you're looking for a more modern experience of this game then the Unity mod is pretty much mandatory to have, and it's easy to use with Steam if you like having a record of your playtime.

Just wait until a sale and you can get Warhammer 2 along with Warhammer 1 ( Mortal Empires) for cheaper and you'll likely get much more out of that than with this mess. This game should've been delayed and it shows by how inferior it is to the previous entry in almost every way and that joke road map we got a few days ago.
