Great game overall. Might need some multiplayer improvements for beach bobs with thatch huts to help them survive better against giant tribes, but still a great game nonetheless!

awesome game filled with lots of stuff to do, especially threats to keep you careful where ever you are going, really nice experience as a guy who loves having 3 full skin racks xD :safehouse:

Early Access Review
As of 10/02/21, after an extensive playtime and veteran knowledge, I can certify that this is a game that is worth a shot. I have played the game on and off since I never quite got the time to play it but during this time, I can say that my favourite era was either 2016 or 2018, where I felt the game was much simpler to understand and more punishing.

Since the combat update, I did not feel like playing the game anymore, considering that all of my recoil training sort of disappeared, and I am sure that many people would agree that this was a controversial change, but the nostalgia and the good memories I have had with this game are undeniable and are now calling me back, and this is an undeniable fact that many other long-time players like me can certify.

Sure, solo is hard and don't expect to get loads of guns like you see in YouTubers (unless you have thousands of hours, then be my guest), but it is still enjoyable to say the least. Having that occasional PvP win where you get a good gun by killing an unexperienced/uncautious player is more thrilling than anything.

Having an extra set of hands or two is even better. Lose loot together, get raided together, get loot together, laugh together, raid together; it's more enjoyable than struggling for your life as a solo, and this is where I have had the most fun playing the game, messing about with my friends and just being ourselves.

Play, die, respawn, die again, learn from your mistakes, then play again, die to a random roofcamper, respawn, kill a loaded guy, get the t h i c c l o o t, die with it and learn again. It's the cycle of RUST. If you have the time to learn about the game, you're set for a nice, thrilling experience.

Graphics: 9/10 (if you can afford it, otherwise it's like a 6/10)
Requirements: 7/10 (somewhat decent computer; highly optimised potatoes will also work at the cost of having a painful 30FPS)
Gameplay: 5-10/10 (if you can't get anything done, quit the server and look for another server, that might be easier; if you can get something done, it is quite fun; if you can constantly kill players for loot, it is thrilling af)
Progression: 8/10 (takes time but well worth the time imo)
Time investment required: 11/10 (that 2am korean zerg offline raid will get your PC started in no time)

Why are you still reading this? Go on, I'm hearing C4 at your base.
Or, what used to be your base, ha!
