Used to play this a lot on mobile, now I just do that on Steam. Pretty good time killer if you don't have much to do or you're bored.

This most recent "Major Update" has personally been the final nail in the coffin for me for this game.

The "Major Update", if you can even call it that, has been disappointing and is practically the equivalent of the yearly Halloween event except summer themed. The new additions to the map pool are half-baked and has players wading through the occasional crashes/bugs. While the update was centred around community workshop submissions, there was a lot of lost potential. There is plenty of great workshop content that could have been added to improve the state of the game overall. There was even a tag in the workshop that pertained to fixes for bugs of which NONE were added to fix the game.

This update didn't touch upon improving the actual issues the game has been facing for some time now. Servers are continuously plagued with cheaters and bots while the only real defence players have against this is to kick the cheater/bot from the match. The anti-cheat (VAC) is STILL unable to act effectively. While I appreciate the skeleton crew's efforts to try and keep the game afloat amidst the challenges it faces, TF2 continues to be unfun to play. I cannot recommend this and you are far better off doing something else with your time. This game's golden age has long passed - Valve and TF2's community continue to drive this game into the ground.
