The story is colorful, although short (in my experience through Normal), progressive in difficulty and teaches you the basics. The story was fun, although I was left craving more. More to see, more enemies to face.
All in all, it prepares you for multiplayer by teaching you nearly every concept during said storyline.
I only wish you could play as Rig, the main character or the main villain (intentionally unmentioned by name).

A great concept, surely an enjoyable game for friends who love this genre.
I haven't tried multiplayer although I was interested in some of the DLC characters, opted out as their only function is to serve as alternate play for multiplayer instead of having their own fleshed out story.
I wish for a continuation or more from the artists and writers of Northgard, but humbly accept this as the first and last of it's iteration.

I have mid-range specs, all things considered, the jankiness of the Operators was my first impression and the most apparent issue, never mind the form of a lot of the maps v. previous games.
Even so, I'm willing to give this game a fair fighting chance with more hours, but a lot of what I read from other reviews and watched from videos, is still very much here, outside of some more recent QoL patches/updates.
Overall? Still has promise, I'd argue, but is it for me (as a Bad Company - BF4 vet.) ? No. Not in it's current state.

Update 6 Hours:
Talked with a lot of people in game, people seem to argue that the reviews here are bloated and spam, but if you actually take the time to take these criticisms and apply them to your gameplay much of the issues at hand are still prevalent, and very much a nuisance if not downright annoying.
Mainly, I've encountered chat bugs, callout bugs, and equipment bugs in my extended play during the time allotted.
I can say the gameplay in of itself is fun, but at least for me it was rather barebones, all things considered when you compare it to it's predecesor.

IF considering this title, like BFV, buy on half off or at the very least on sale at a point where much of the core issues are sought and fixed.

9 Hours:
Most of the longtime fans and returning all are pretty bummed about the removal of Squad VC, Squad Leader based perks (basically everything squad related present in BF4). I even heard one fella compare this as a somehow worse Battlefield: Hardline, if you can believe it.
But that's mainly nostalgia based complaints and disgruntled users in regards to the lack of features and overall content in regards to the core of the game.
I can't disagree.
Gunplay is alright but could use some fine tuning here in there in regards to player models, overall it is a game, and it does have Battlefield in the title.
But let's be real, this is Apex Legends if it had a scandalous affair with Warzone, whilst cheating on Rainbow Six: Seige. Unfortunately, I can't see this reaching the heights those games sit at currently, and yes not even Apex.

In all seriousness, this game needs an overall touch-up, if not a full rework. This goes beyond QoL, at this point.
Suggested, bring back old features present in the direction of 2042, it really isn't hard to perfect your formula when you've got at least 5 decent titles to reference.
I can tell you, though I will research it and update if I'm wrong, this is no longer the DICE we knew and loved that put out Easter eggs, community events, and polished the living hell out of 3 and 4. I'm not sure where corporate started and greed began, but I've seen this commonly with a lot of Triple A studios lately this year.
The focus seems to be more on rushing out an unfinished product to tap into a market while it's hot, and your competitors simmer.
These feels half-baked, even now, X amount of months later from launch.

Please, if you do actually care about this title and aren't just going to let it die the way you let Hardline (let's be real), then at the very least don't do us BFV.
Stress test, patch, and work out the kinks. This game isn't all bad, it just needs that grease to make it shine the way we remember these games, and without a shadow of a doubt I know it can.
Peace and love.

To start off, tapping the A and D key as a run mechanic, well I can't speak for everyone but for me is absolutely tiring and awful, on top of the fact that you aren't really greeted with much else but going to school and playing on the oh-so-timely trope of the quiet, or in this case, the new kid shooting up the school. Bland. Instead of going home, I wanted to explore and found myself greeted with stock sounds of SCP-096's crying loop and before I could react and give chase I was stuck in an endless maze. I was going to attempt to restart or leave but found myself unable, on top of being unable to adjust volume settings or audio in general as to turn off the awkward voice acting or the non-stop loops but instead exited the game. Probably the wiser decision.
Also I don't know if it's trying to look like a longboard, but even for pixel graphics that doesn't look like any skateboard I've ever seen or ridden.

Game has potential with the aesthetic but honestly for a free game it's alright. May try again later.

It was alright, shadows need some fine tuning and the monsters themselves as well could use a touch up and maybe a new walking animation, witches are hot though.

Gritty, but interesting. Although there isn't much grip outside the storyline which can immediately be played through which some unnecessary nit-picky difficult scenarios it's overall an action-hero tale, though not with a happy ending or a solidified reason as to why it's called Watch_Dogs

Story is lack luster and lighthearted, different control scheme, poor navigation story-wise; if you have a friend who owns this game, and want a GTA V theater mode, it'll be a grand time, if you came in expecting the gritty WD1, you'll be disappointed.
Buy during sale.

Fun and interactive, though overall short and a bit buggy, thoroughly enjoyed it and puzzling my through each room.
For a free indie Horror, this definitely is a nice title to try!

Nerf or nothin', p2w, the affiliate program blacklisted foreign users, chat mod controversial abuse, framebloat when QOL and balancing was needed, spam vault/unvault.
I could go on. Years of grind, bad decision making, and removal/nerf of OG endgame content (no I'm not talking about raids).
I've played from 2013 to 2019, nearly 3k hours.
Anyone with 1.5k+ hours will earnestly tell you this game is either a lost cause or not worth the longevity.
I regret the amount time I spent in this game, if you want an accurate representation of criticism and problems with this game refer to a Rahetalius video.
Peace and love.

Game was abandoned.

No or more than likely crap matchmaking.
No progression as it was removed and everyone can have anything.

R.I.P. to backers like me, took our money and fled the country. (Hyperbole, but seriously, scummy move)

I'm not sure what to expect from this Developer in the future.
Be wary.

Do you love horribly subjecting yourself to midly disturbing experiences at adequate and overly cheap prices for a 'war between two toddlers over a crayon' quality game? Then this is the melting pot of clorofoam for all your achievement vainty needs! Yes I'm talking to you, we both know the only relative quality of this is the Costco of numbers you can display for all those other numbers that makes up your friends list! Alright, all cards on the table if any game were to be labeled 'Spam' surely enough this is the golden child on lsd, as I think it was intended to be upon development.
