One of the most fun, rewarding, engaging multiplayer games with one of the most positive and helpful communities there is. ROCK AND STONE!

Please disregard most of the negative reviews, this is still an incredibly fun game with loads of content (just look at my playtime). Almost all of the recent negative reviews are about the recent AoE/explosive weapon nerfs. There were a good handful of these weapons that completely overshadowed most other weapon options and were completely braindead to use, to the point where you could very often completely ignore the game and stare at the minimap the entire mission and just spam shots in the general direction of the red dots on said map. Now that ammo is slightly more scarce, especially for these problem weapons, you have to *gasp* slightly THINK about where you place your shots so you are more likely to get your ammo back.

One of the most fun games I've ever played. Partially writing this to offset the russian sympathizer spam.

Editing this review to reflect the "current" (~5 years now) state of the game. Nearly every match on valve's official severs are flooded with cheater bots that instantly snipe and kill you and most likely your entire team for the whole match as soon as you get into their line of sight as well as repeatedly vote kicking whatever real players happen to be left from the match. Additionally, you must now buy an item from the in-game store to use ANY form of communication; text chat, voice chat, even the basic voice line commands such as calling for a medic are restricted until you cough up some dough. The kicker? The bot hosters have found a way around this/ have spent the money so they can spam all chats with the most repugnant messages you can possibly imagine at all times. As you can tell by my playtime I can thank this game and community for giving me too many fun times and good memories to count so it hurts me to see one of my favorite games of all time be poisoned from the inside and left to rot without seemingly any solution in sight. #FixTF2

I played this game extensively a few years ago and had a blast and I'm trying to pick it back up. While it takes a few centuries to find a match, when you do find one it's still pretty fun. It's not as good as in its hay day but it can still be enjoyed fairly extensively.

The game will not launch no matter what I do...

EDIT: I didn't have any problems downloading and playing it from the official site, so if you don't want to tinker with files then get it from there.
