It might not have lived up to expectations, and a lot of content has obviously been cut, but it's still a really good game.

It nailed the atmosphere

I love this game. It's beautiful, has a great soundtrack, and god tier level design. The dev absolutely nailed the atmosphere in every level. I wish I could forget everything about it and play it again, it's an amazing experience.

The only downside is that the combat can seem a bit slow sometimes, but that doesn't take away from the experience.

I have two pieces of advice for new players: quicksave frequently, and don't worry too much about wasting your good ammo. I made an effort to conserve ammo and rarely used my powerful weapons, but I always ended up finding more ammo pickups for them that I couldn't take because I was full.
