Do you know when you go on holidays, and you are staying in a hotel, and it is great, and you love it, but then you return to your home, and realize that there is nothing like home? Mount & Blade: Warband is that for me. My “videogame-home”. I can play other games, they can be great, I can enjoy them... but there is nothing like Warband.
I waited for some time to write this review, because I didn’t really know what to say. I still don’t know. All the words don’t seem to be enough to describe how much I love this game, and how much fun I had with it.
More than 10 years ago, a friend of mine showed me the game, and I didn’t really care much about it... but then I tried it. And my life changed. I started with a pirated version, but I wanted to buy the game I love. And that is why I joined Steam. Recently, when Bannerlord was released in early access, my old computer couldn’t run it, so I had to buy a better computer so I could play it. It was great, I realy enjoyed it. But... there is a time when you feel the need to return home. I bought the new computer for Bannerlord, but I’m mainly playing Warband. Home, sweet home, right?
Until recently, I’ve been playing almost exclusively single-player, but this year I joined a great Portuguese community playing the game online, the Primeiro Batalhão de Caçadores. I didn’t thought that I could love the game even more, but here I am, playing it like it was the first time, discovering stuff I didn’t knew yet, alongside great companions! If you would like to join us, you are very welcome (you need to speak Portuguese, tho).
Thank you, TaleWorlds, for all the good times! I wish great success to Bannerlord! I will be playing it, and I’m eager to see what the future will bring to it... but my “videogame-home” will forever be Warband.

Sabes quando vais de férias, e ficas num hotel, e é espectacular, e gostas imenso, mas depois regressas a casa e percebes que não há nada como a tua casa? Mount & Blade: Warband é isso para mim. A minha “casa-videojogo”. Posso jogar outros jogos, e eles podem ser espectaculares, e eu posso gostar imenso deles… mas não há nada como o Warband.
Esperei algum tempo para fazer esta análise, porque não sabia bem o que escrever. Ainda não sei. Todas as palavras não parecem ser suficientes para descrever o quanto eu gosto deste jogo, e o quanto me diverti com ele.
Há mais de 10 anos atrás, um amigo mostrou-me o jogo, mas eu não lhe achei muita piada… até ter experimentado, eu próprio, jogar. E a minha vida mudou. Comecei por jogar numa versão pirata, mas eu queria comprar o jogo de que tanto gostava. E foi essa a razão que me levou a aderir à Steam. Recentemente, quando foi o lançamento antecipado do Bannerlord, o meu velho computador não conseguia correr o jogo, por isso tive que comprar um computador melhor para poder jogar Bannerlord. Foi espectacular, gostei imenso. Mas… há sempre aquela altura em que tu sentes a necessidade de regressar a casa. Eu comprei o computador novo para jogar Bannerlord, mas tenho jogado principalmente Warband. Lar, doce lar, né?
Até recentemente, eu tinha jogado quase exclusivamente em single-player, mas este ano juntei-me a uma grande comunidade portuguesa que se reúne online semanalmente para jogar Warband: o Primeiro Batalhão de Caçadores. Nunca pensei que pudesse gostar do jogo ainda mais do que já gostava, mas cá estou, jogando como se fosse a primeira vez, a descobrir coisas do jogo que ainda não conhecia, juntamente com grandes companheiros! Se tiveres interesse em juntar-te a nós, és muito bem-vindo! Mesmo que estejas só curioso podes enviar-me mensagem por aqui, que eu terei todo o gosto em explicar-te quem somos, e o que fazemos :)
