I know that nobody will find this review anyway, but might as well put this in.

This review is me trying to be neutral about this game. I've played longer before it was published on Steam, however my opinion is bias towards one reason: I have no other hero shooters to play.

There's a lot of reviews saying how Blizzard has disappointed a lot of us, and they're true. But by all means, please try the game yourself. I find a lot of people who continues to play say the same thing: It's a fun game, but it's not worth investing a lot of time in. Trust all the other reviews, as they're accurate enough, however, please don't make their reviews be the sole reason you decided to not play this game. It's free, and as long as you have space in your hard drive, please try it yourself and make your own decision on whether this game is good or not.

Especially now, considering that Blizzard decided to scrap the PvE development and monetize whatever's available. Blizzard will either send this game to the grave, or they'll realize they've hecked up and change their ways. Regardless, my point still stands: It's a fun game to play, not worth investing your time in. Please don't be like many others who follow reviews blindly, ESPECIALLY when the game is FREE. There's no downsides for you to try this game out. There's no suspicious Chinese anti-cheat program that requires you to reveal everything in your PC to play the game. All the heroes are free and unlocked (except the new heroes, which will require grinding the battlepass to unlock, or doing challenges). Seriously, what downside do you think there is to a FREE game?

Got this game because it was on offer, thinking "Aah, it's just a police game, shouldn't be too hard."

- Gets a call from a kid who's dad was a firefighter, recognises a gas leak in his apartment building.
- Told him to stay outside, but he ran in to alert the neighbours and to save his sister.
- Explosions can be heard through the phone call.
- Call ends.

Great way to develop a trauma.

As of 21st May 2022, the reviews currently are Mostly Positive. I have no idea why, 'cause the way this game progresses is just screaming "Pay or suffer".
The game uses the mechanic of "upgrading" your character to increase their base health, attack and other stats. The more you upgrade, the more powerful your character gets, and the more easier you can steamroll every match. Upgrades come when you've played enough of the character and you'll have to spend gold as well. The amount of gold that you need to spend outweighs the amount of gold you'll get from several matches. Not even the battle pass can save this.
What's best yet is that the game has a competitive ranked mode. I get the competitive part, but what's there to rank when you can just level your character and show that as your rank? "My character's level is 50, therefore I definitely spent a hefty amount of hours into the game, and I'm definitely more superior than anyone that's level 30 and below."
I get that some people will say, "lol just get gud", and to that I absolutely agree. It doesn't matter what your character level is, at the end of the day, if you have the skills, you can dominate the match. Then wouldn't it be better if the devs make the gold cost of new characters more expensive and remove this pointless leveling system? I find that much more interesting, as I get to play various characters.
Regardless, don't take my word for granted. Please download the game and try it out yourself, as the download size is relatively small and the time spent on each match is very short.

10 Minutes Till Dawn, but an eternity of suffering.
Can't believe this game is not even finished with the amount of fun you can have.
Imagine the full game. I might fail my college for this.

You dig stuff for the useless Mission Control who sits in his office and choke on sausages.
You get money.
You upgrade your gear.
You go back down and dig some more. While fighting arachnids.
Repeat the process.
No, there's no profit.

TL;DR: Game is amazing. Didn't expect this much content at first, but had my fun and has some challenge to it. The only reason I don't recommend this is because of the bad optimization.

I don't like to use another game to describe a game, but imagine Honkai Impact, but it was a TPS (Third-person Shooter) with a hint of roguelike element. No, I'm not saying this game lacks creativity (in fact, I feel this whole concept is creative and fresh). Not going to spoil anything from the game, therefore I won't talk about anymore about the gameplay. I highly recommend (considering the game size is small as well) to download and try it for yourself.

The only issue I faced is that there is no graphics setting to optimize the game. Rather, there is no optimization at all. Yes, I have seen the minimum requirement (and that it is rather high), and yes, I have at least the minimum requirement. However, for a game like this, I don't think it is necessary for the minimum requirement to be this high. I believe optimization can be made such as not loading the entire map unless it's necessary.

Yes, I wish to see this game grow and have more content. Yes, I will continue to play this game until I had my fun. No, I won't recommend this game to anyone else due to the bad optimization. That's that.

To all SEA players, there's a SEA server available. However, that doesn't mean there's people playing. Queued for more than 5 minutes is my limit, but if you can wait longer, go ahead and break my record. I speak as a new player and not an experienced player.

Summary: This game is nice. It reminds me the old days where I'm addicted to survival games and failed my exams. It's quite memorable.

Survival games are quite the entertaining sort of video games. Though, if you were to play alone, it doesn't have that much of fun as playing with friends. Building something that's unreasonable and laugh about it. At times, you have to get serious and farm for the items you need in order to beat the next boss. It'll take few weeks (even months) to get the required items, but with a friend or two along the way, this game will never bore me.

Now of course, every games have its own flaw. This game's flaw is the amount of materials you need to farm in order to get the full set of armor/weapon. It's a ridiculous amount for just a broadsword. Might as well just make this game into a farming simulator. But I guess that's the challenge of this game.

Another flaw, I believe, is the randomised boss spawning. For example, the Twins. I don't have the defense to survive their attack, nor do I have the damage. I wasn't prepared at all. I hope in the future, there will be requirement(s) for the boss to spawn (For example, the goblin army requires you to have at least 200 health), maybe after you've reached a certain value of defense or damage.
Note: I do notice there's three difficulties (one required to defeat one of the bosses), and the difficulty for the Twins to spawn is only in Hardmode, meaning I could just farm for the armor in Expert mode. But really, the rewards in Hardmode are better than the ones in Expert mode (like, a huge difference between the defense the full set of armor gives). Why bother in Expert mode when you can get better stuff in Hardmode?

Overall, this game brings the excitement of what's coming your way in a new world with a new character. But if you know pretty much everything, there's the wikia page for you to research for all the items you could get your filthy hands on.

I say, this game right here? Been having the most fun out of this game. Like, huge lot of fun. And what can I really say? The community sucks. Valve isn't doing a great job handling this game (though, they're starting to take the community seriously). And last of all, the game items suck. Bloody hell, do the items suck. Hey, at least the gameplay doesn't suck, if you don't mind some kids screaming gibberish in their mic and a serious player scolding you for being a noob. But hey, it's a competitive game, what do you expect?
