Been playing since it released in 2016. This along with its sibling ETS2 fully scratch the itch for driving! Nearly half the US states added and still expanding. New industry partnerships bringing new trucks, trailers and cargoes, there's always something interesting being added.

Wasn't sure what to expect when I saw this come up in Early Access. Thought I'd grab it and see where the devs take it. So far, not disappointed!

Devs are constantly communicating with the players, which is always nice! There's leaderboard chasing if you're into that, but I prefer the laid back fun of just cutting up ships to see what I might find along the way. ;)

Aside from not ever being able to create an account, whether through Steam or manually, the game would never allow me to change the controls. Oh, it showed me a screen with four options and let me choose any of those four, but as soon as I went back to the game it was unchanged. So, I have 0.2 hours of game-time which consisted of me trying to make an account and then change the unchangeable controls. Not worth the "free" price.

Some folks may get bored of the "endless" play, however, it's quite enjoyable. Easy game to pick up and get that dog-fighting itch scratched for a while. Folks knocking the lack of detail of the ground are paying attention to the wrong thing, IMO. :P

I will persevere. Because I am neurotic. However, this game is an exercise in frustration. Don't let the soothing music fool you. It's there in a meager attempt to prevent you from throwing things around your home after you've managed to fall all the way back to the bottom. For the one hundred and eighty-fifth time... In the last 15 minutes... Of your third attempt that day...

Edit: I take it back. I likely won't continue. I am really tired of doing the first few levels over and over and over and over again. This is a master class in frustration as well as wasted time and effort.

A very silly game with all the rag-doll physics you could want.

Controls are a bit wonky and the cart gets twitchy when you get up to speed. Can be a bit frustrating trying the same approach over and over and over (and over).

The music is very repetative with no volume control or mute button.

However, biggest problem is that the game starts you from the beginning every time you play. I played for roughly 20 minutes and needed a break from the music (and frustration). Not sure I want to go through all the same levels again just to get back to where I was when I stopped...

It's silly for a bit of fun, but I wouldn't recommend paying for it.

I originally picked this up on a whim, looking for something else to play using my old wheel. Got it bundled with Going East DLC during a sale and it immediately eclipsed all my other game playing!

It's a different kind of driving game and a relaxing departure from the normal racing or shooting in other games.

In addition to Going East DLC, it is definitely worth getting Scandinavia DLC as well as the High Power Cargo Pack. Not much into the Paint Packs, but can pick up the Metallic Pack for free still. ;)

Nov 2016 update: They've really done so much with this game and are constantly adding more features. This continues to be the game I love more than any other!

Nov 2017 update: Still going strong! Heavy Cargo Pack and France DLC, and more to come! It just keeps getting better!

Nov 2018 update: And better and better and better! Special Transport and Italy. Can't wait for what's next!!

Nov 2019 update: They keep making this more and more wonderful! Rebuilding the older map areas while still releasing new content. This game is my most played game EVER!

Nov 2020 update: SCS is one of the best dev teams going right now. Constantly improving and updating the game. Still my favourite game of all time, I never get tired of driving! Can't wait to see every new DLC.

Nov 2021 update: The game has come so far from where it was when I picked it up. SCS has done an amazing job of expanding both the game play as well as the game world. I always love to drive around!

Nov 2022 update: They never cease to amaze! New trucks, new trailers, new map areas. Looking forward to the DX12 upgrade and all the goodies they can unleash!

This is so fun, hours slip by before I notice! Very engaging.
