My hands are sweaty

The first time you play it will most likely be a struggle, and that's okay. The game itself is challenging, but figuring out how to progress and keep yourself safe from losing is rewarding on it's own. Once you are comfortable with the mechanics, learning the lore and being able to draw conclusions on your own without reading the wiki is the most interesting and fun thing this and Book of Hours has to offer.
If you want a more relaxed experience overall though, then maybe just get Book of Hours. It has the lore books from this game + a few more. Cultist sim does have some interesting lore though, as it shows the process of how people ascend through the mansus, and how they ultimately reach their desire. 10/10

I got over it over 70 times. Needless to say that's what happens when you don't have internet for 5 months and only have this game on your computer

Big reason I enjoy this game is that it's just flat out FUN. And the main factor in this game is that it's more skill than luck based. Since you get to chose your upgrade path, you can play what fits your play style. And every scroll (upgrade) you get is good. Sure, there are some strong ones that stick out, but it doesn't secure you a victory. Aim, movement, weapon knowledge, that's what makes you win.

What a great game in the series! I played 3 and 4 but never got to play the game that really kicked it off. Every one says 2 is the best so I picked it up for real cheap. Other than the frequent crashes (bad pc port) the gameplay and story itself is awesome.
