Brilliant DLC!
Just finished and I actually had so much fun during it, beautiful looking areas, great design, interesting story and it lasted fairly long if you play casually.
The story is actually 100x better than the base game and I can't even understand how that happen. Were the writers the same or? Surely feels like they weren't. This actually had a good old Borderlands feel to it, a lot of TPS vibe as well.
Witty and smart reflecting on what Jack left behind after his death, better characters than in the base game too.
Shame you pay a whole BL3 package just to only get a well written fun DLC instead of everything to begin with.

Very good game, I'd say even great if it weren't for a couple of small things. The combat is very clunky specially at the beginning, it almost feels as if it wasn't ported well enough from console to pc.
The menu design with inventory, skill trees, map etc is very messy and poorly designed. Map may be the worst out of all, so hard to coordinate. Maybe it's just me but it was really really bad.
But with time you get used to it and it really becomes less of a problem so despite that we cool.

The game itself is very slow burn with the story telling containing a lot of "detective " work and conversing which to some may be a bit boring at the start but the sheer atmosphere, premise and setting is very alluring and draws you in quickly. You can tell this is a game made with a lot of heart even if it lacks at some points.

The main and worst issue I had personally is *STORY SPOILER UNDERNEATH*
The forced relationship with the progressive woke vegan lady vampire. By God she has got to be one of the plainest, most boring and useless game characters in gaming history. They both lack any chemistry, very poorly written in terms of romantic development almost to none. It's just out of the blue, a punch straight into your gut with no real sustenance and logic behind it or any form of charm. As a game that goes under the RPG genre they should of at least let you chose your relationship status with her.
This must have been the most irritating situation by far in the entire game and somewhat of a experience ruiner.

TLDR
It's still a great game, absolutely worth the money and you should play it.

P.S. It's 2020 now and we desperately need Vampyr 2.0 where Jonathan just casually jogs around Wuhan and you know the rest kek

Pretty fun gameplay/gunplay but too casual and easy, literal kids play. Best parts of the game are the level designs and music/sound design, everything on the art side content is stunning and very neat, apart from skins and other cosmetics which have a horrid spine shivering Fortnite-esque look and vibe to it. Yikes.
Compared to other games all vault hunters are falling very flat with their personalities and are quite unremarkable.
Entire writing of the game is just plain bad from majority of dialogues to entire base game story which has got to be one of the worst written game plots in history of gaming. New characters are mostly annoying and forgettable. Somehow managed to create a single most obnoxiously annoying most irritating pre teen character of all times. No one of the characters has any emotional response towards anything that happens in the game. Humour degraded by 200% and now only appeals to mostly younger mass audiences. Some side quests are alright sometimes fun but that's all.
Compared to other games in the franchise this isn't even a shadow to a normal Borderlands game lore, story and mood wise.
Personally best and most interesting part of the game for me takes its place on Promethea with the corporate war, dash of fresh scenery and it's very pleasing to play through. Apart from that meh. Entire game is just meh.

TLDR: Le garbage.

Play this game? Yes maybe at some point.
Buy this game? Yes and no. (I recommend not giving money to Gearbox because they are a bunch of &%&%'#$%%&%&Randy'&&%'()'))
Big fat F for the loss of Anthony Burch, it is oh so very felt during the entire game. So, disappointed but not shocked that things took turns this way.

Countless hours of pure fun, majestic characters and amazing action!! Great gameplay, very addictive. 10/10 wanting to grind every day after hard day of work that sweet sweet online digital loot that will not hope with my irl life what so ever. <3 <3 <3

P.S. Stop making Zer0's voice sound like he had a katana oopsie and oopsied his balls off and now sounds like a basement dwelling libtard weirdo, please. :(((

EDIT: After almost 300h in game as a Mac user thank you for ruining any possibility of coop with my entire steam friendlist with the new "not mac/linux" ported ultra HD DLC.
I still love the game but eat ♥♥♥♥ you sellout cucks.
