What a bland game. Even at half price it's not worth it.

Tentative Positive. By the time you'll get filtered by the 1st chapter boss you'll already be over 2 hours in.

They've fixed the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the game since I've last played. It's a pretty engaging story, in my personal opinion, and I like the replayability of the game. My only mistake is on none of my runs did I kill Commander M, so I have to make a 4th run of the game where I do to unlock all the missions. . .

Early Access Review
If you like sweaty quake gamers you might like this but in its current state players are toxic as ♥♥♥♥, almost all the guns feel like trash (Seriously, the sniper rifle is PROJECTILE based and slow as ♥♥♥♥) SMGs work like nailguns, shotgunsare about theonly ones that feel 'good' but they both feel weak. you miss one shot on the double barrel and you're dead, and the combat shotgun justfeels weak. No explosive-heavy weapons and no rocket jumping either, so I guess quake gamers wouldn't like it much either (people were comparing it to ace of spades, and ace of spades had lots of rocket jumping

Outside of guns the gamemodes aren't great either. The two main ones are basically tug of war control 'points' (Giant lines) that play nearly identically (and not good) you aren't allowed to deviate away from the objective to sneak behind enemy lines or the game gives you 10 seconds to get back to the point or die. I haven't tried CTF but there is no KOTH, Domination, or control points that would better take advantage of themassive maps (Smaller control points, boxes instead of rectangles so more players have to gather in one place and would add to more street-fighting rather than gaggling about, but with the poor gunplay it doesn't matter)

Mildly disappointed. The lore seems worse in this game than past fromsoft titles, with many items having the same name rather than how souls would have slightly different lore and names depending on size and very curt descriptions. Runs decent enough on my laptop gtx 1650 although I'm having the same stutter as everyone else, especially around the tutorial stairs.

While the shooting is fun when it works, in its current state mice that work perfectly fine in other games seem to act almost dead while in this game, misreading mouse movements or stuttering wildly while at a constant 60 fps. Even worse, melee registration seems to coincide with whatever ping the other player has, meaning I have recently encountered a time where a normal shielded opponent in a ranked match took 4 melee hits and then shot me in the head.

Splitgate sometimes has melee problems, and some of its maps are buggy, but none of the issues I've had in that game come even close to this game.

Pros:
-Good Soundtrack
-Good Gun Design
-customization
Cons:
-No Damage Numbers
-I can't see who's talking in VC, meanwhile every other competitive shooter from TF2 to Krunker shows up with a popup in the corner.
-Shots that register as hits on one end don't on the other
-Compared to other battle passes looking at this one and the challenges is clunky and confusing (What is total domination?)
-Some maps poorly designed (Launchpad is the big one)
-Comp Oddball???
-No voting system for maps or queuing system to avoid maps
-common for certain maps to cause the system to go offline, meaning the game needs restarted
-black screen occurs sometimes before map join, and firing and movement seems possible, as the character's orientation or place during the opening cutscene can move because of this
-VC is off by default and hidden under complicated menus
-players seem unused to the ping command despite its usefulness.

I have put over 500 hours into this software, and haven't used it in over a year. I redownloaded on a different computer, as my old one fried, with the expectation that the files I had saved to the cloud would be on the cloud.

I don't have these files, that I put over 500 hours of work into. I cannot recommend this software.r

A Short, Free game, plays like a flash game on armorgames, and is relatively fun. There's no reason not to play it if you like puzzle platformers, as it's free. felt like I achieved something, although that last achievement was kind of weird. . .
Would recommend for a short 2 hour game for fun.

"Moving to Epic is good for Psyonix. More money for them. Yay.

But it's not good for us.[i.redd.it]

The game is staying on steam for those of us who already bought it or buy it before it gets unlisted, but who knows if it will require us to still install and launch through Epic like various Ubisoft games on Steam do with Uplay. It might happen. We don't know."- Wizard Toast, 2019

This is a GOOD Game. I cannot, however, support Epic Store's Decision, especially with TenCent owning a Majority Share.
I do not trust Chinese Companies to do what's right, although I only like Valve because they're a private company, allowing them to put ideas over blatant cash grabs and abuse. They're slow to change, but they don't abuse us Like Epic, EA, Activision. They don't abuse the IPs they own. They might neglect them, but Valve doesn't destroy them, like EA did do Command and Conquer.

If a Game as a Service shuts down, the User should be eligible for a refund as the developer broke a game the USER owns.
