Let me preface this review by saying, I love this game. L.A. Noire is one of my favorite games ever made, the feeling of gettting to the bottom of a crime is great, most of the partners (♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Roy Earle) are great characters and it made me sad everytime I left a desk because I was leaving this friend that I had made, and finally the gameplay itself is amazing. HOWEVER, AND THAT'S A BIG HOWEVER, I have one big gripe with this game.

WARNING: THE REST OF THIS REVIEW GOES INTO SPOILER TERRITORY IF YOU WANT TO AVOID SPOILERS DO NOT READ THE REST, JUST GO DOWN AND READ THE TL;DR

/spoiler L.A. Noire is uber unsatisfying, and the story towards the end of the Homicide, Vice, and Arson desks suck major balls. For Homicide you track a serial killer and right once you've caught him you learn that he is the half brother of a powerful politician and you have to let him go. In Vice you track the robbery of a giant case of military grade morphine stolen by your friends from World War II. Howerver right as you are about to get a confession the chief of police barges in and says that you are cheating on your wife with some German singer and that, because of this, he's demoting you to the arson desk until my trial (this means you can't finish the case). I have problems with this one especially because they make a really big deal about cheating on your wife but before this you only see your wife once and hear about her a handful of times. So I really don't care about the severity of it, SO LET ME FINISH MY DAMN CASE! THE ENTIRE VICE DESK SUCKS AND NOW YOU GIVE ME THIS? ARG!!!! Finally we get to Arson, in this desk you follow a housing scam that isn't important, but you solve the case and then DIE you die and then at your funeral are all the people who have worked against you. The Chief of Police, Roy Earle, Captain Donelly. All these people that ruin the game are the ones that read your obituaries and I hate it.

TL;DR The game is a huge cockblock

This game is pretty ok but there are some things wrong with it. Not sure if this is just for me or if everyone has this.
1. Once I started the game for the first time it kept bugging me to change my resolution, so I did. But after I did that it started bugging me to go to the same resolution that I had just turned on.
2. After I had gotten about 3/4 of the way through the first episode save issues were happening. (Note. It was saving all the time so don't accuse me of not letting it save). It pushed me back about thirty minutes of playtime and there was no evidence that I had played the game afterwards.
3. I LITERALLY CAN'T PLAY IT!!!!! I now use a laptop for a main computer because my desktop is laggy. Once again I'm not sure if this is just me. When I open the game it only shows a fourth of my screen, I can't see my mouse, and can't exit the game. I have to turn my laptop off just to exit a game I can't play. Overall It's $25 wasted.
