It's funny but bugged. Gamemode 2 requires you to cycle through tiles and pick where they go, but there is only a set number of tiles you have and there's no guarantee you will get the ones you need. It's completely random if the puzzle is even POSSIBLE to complete.

I know it's a meme game, but this isn't okay when the paid DLC is locked behind getting lucky.

This game is fun for about a week but the cracks are INCREDIBLY visible. You quickly will be spending MUCH more time not playing the game because you're just waiting to build up enough leaves for the absolutely ridiculous costs for the mid-game.

This is a complete waste of your time. There are better idle games out there like Cookie Clicker.

Despite this game being the best Halo gunplay experience in over 10 years, I can't actually recommend it to anyone.

There are numerous progression problems which heavily promote the use of paying your way through the battle pass. Cosmetics that were previously unlocked through gameplay are now locked behind the premium shop. The campaign unlocks for multiplayer have been confirmed to be nothing more than a color pallet and some emblems.

The playlists are completely barren and there's rampant toxicity among the playerbase. If you have cosmetics that someone doesn't like, you're likely to get team-killed and sabotaged. If you have paid cosmetics equipped you'll likely get spammed with hate messages in the text chat or over voice chat.

Not only that, but the game has quickly become infested with cheaters. If you get killed by some suspiciously good shot placement, you can probably bet it was a cheater since you can look through the Theater mode and spectate their view to see them locked onto your head through multiple walls.

The game also contains numerous server/client desynch issues. Melee hits from the front will occasionally one-shot you through even full overshields. You can get shot around and even through corners because of the intense amount of packet loss problems, even when you have a fantastic internet connection. These issues have been documented and reproduced numerous times even in solo custom games by playing and watching it back in Theater Mode.

If that wasn't bad enough, Halo Infinite has extremely bad memory scheduling issues that make custom games almost impossible to play. If you have too many settings changed in a custom game (like if you were trying to re-create a mode that was missing from launch like SWAT), you will find that the game just implodes on itself because it tries, and fails, to load too many match perimeters all at the same time. I have looked into this with a 3rd party resource manager to look at the memory scheduler, and it's basically nonexistant. The RAM storage resources are so poorly optimized that the game will just crash the moment you try to load up a state for a custom game you made and saved. It's almost comical how badly this game was made.

Halo Infinite is in a truly unacceptable state. It's worlds better than CoD Vanguard or BF 2042, but only because it actually runs. You can get into a game and play with other people. It's not a high bar to pass, but sadly the competition hasn't been able to meet it.

Edit: To everyone that said "It's just a beta" It wasn't. There were no updates to Multiplayer or stability in Dec 8th's patch. It wasn't a beta. It was a lie. Do not support 343i. Do not believe what they say.

The literal one thing I wanted from this pack was Survival mode and the game has been broken so that you literally cannot enable Survival mode.

I remember back in the day when I paid a LOT of money to get this game and all of the DLC for it. I wanted to wait until the developers said there would be no more content for the game coming, so I waited and went and purchased all of the DLC when they said "there will be no more new content for the game"

Look where we are now. There are 15 new DLC packs that have come out since then. The devs are liars and swindle their players out of money. They have the balls to charge full price for a game, load it with hundreds of dollars of DLC and then switch to microtransaction loot boxes. Absolutely unacceptable.

It's nothing but a Halo ripoff. Gun designs are lifted straight from Halo, mode types and names are lifted straight out of Halo.

Why go through the trouble of just cloning Halo only to throw in a ton of skins and micro-transaction battle pass garbage?
It's free to play but you get poked nonstop to pay for extra stuff. Don't touch this disaster with a 10 foot pole,

I don't know what it is about this game but it feels like it was too many weird ideas all mashed together. You basically can't play solo because the game just wasn't designed that way. You can't post up and be tactical because enemy accuracy and damage is tuned WAY too high. To compensate for this you regain health basically on every kill. Some weapons like LMGs are virtually impossible to use because the recoil is so unbelievably strong that the only way to fight it is to crank your sensitivity so far up that you can't play the game normally. It's a strange game that has basically no idea of what it wants to be.

Pros:
graphics - if you're looking for a game that looks really good with tons of beautiful particle effects then you can definitely run through it on the easier world tiers and have tons of fun, but you won't be challenged at all

Cons:
poor controls (controller): aiming is much harder than it should be due to a complete lack of aim-assist. The console versions and controller support was a definite afterthought

ability cooldowns: so many abilities cooldown very quickly now, but to compensate for it they had their usefullness completely stripped away to the point that there's no reason to even use them anymore

ability variety: every class has an ability that amps their weapons with special damage ammo. That's basically the only ability you should ever be using because the game wasn't balanced well

performance: there are tons of micro-stutters all over the place, even on lower settings. Definitely avoid if you are on a lower-end system

humor: it's basically trying to be Borderlands, but they only looked at Borderlands 3 and TPS. It's shallow, dry, and has basically no reason to exist.

AI: the AI is brutal and hilariously unfair. Snipers completely disregard the rule of game dev regarding warning shots. Higher-tier enemies routinely use extremely punishing move combos that force you into no-win scenarios, even using moves that require line of sight when there is none.

Overall I would give this game a pass. It's hardly playable as a solo player and many enemy encounters are completely unfair due to map layout and enemy placement. If you have some friends and you want to play the red-headed step-child of Diablo and Borderlands, then go ahead and give this game a try. If you're a solo player looking for a neat looter-shooter experience then I suggest you look elsewhere.

This is the definition of freemium trash. Weapons are temporary, you have to pay real money to keep them. The game is hilariously unfair too. You may choose to play just a random Team match, but it will throw you into solo battle royale for no reason. Avoid this and pray that Valve kicks it off Steam. We don't need these low-effort cash grabs.

It's a very fun and interesting game, but sadly the developer abandoned it before finishing the game. They never released the source code either so the issues present now are permanent.

There are A LOT of sound-based detection issues and view cone problems, so much so that the hardest difficulties are literally impossible to play on because you'll simply be spotted through a wall even when you're moving while crouched.
I wish the dev would just release the source code so that modders can actually finish the game. If you have $3 to burn, go ahead and get it, but don't expect this to be something you're going to be playing for hours and hours trying to perfect. The functionality and gameplay just isn't there.

The demo was super fun and the running and slashing mechanics were SUPER tight, but the full release added a bunch of abilities, mini-games, and upgrades. The game spends NO time explaining how any of them work and you're just left to fend for yourself.

I got up to the Blink tutorial where I somehow managed to get past the first explanation of the ability, but then was forced to do it again WITHOUT any explanation. Restarting from a checkpoint put me after the explanation was gone, and restarting the level put me 20 minutes back.

If you can put up with this garbage, more power to you. I, for one, really am disappointed to see a game change so drastically from the demo to the retail release, so much to where it completely turns me off due to the over-complication of its systems.

Hard pass from me.
