i collect Hot Wheels and i play racing games.
i already have the Hot Wheels, and i also have better racing games.

Can't gel with the driving, you would have to try it yourself. Some cars are better than others, kind of beats the point of collecting if they're not worth using, i don't think there is a Class or make restriction like in the Forza series, that may have made some cars viable.

REVERB.
it is Vert's 'REVERB'*. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Actually i don't mind if they just renamed it and do a production re-run but seeing the game just call it "Vert's" is just plain weird.
* i don't remember if Vert actually owns the Reverb, i assumed he was borrowing it for that race.
* Also there was another Reverb in Battle Force 5 iirc, idk what Mattel was thinking.

i'm going to stick with the toys, i don't feel like i owe the franchise any money for bringing Acceleracers back when i don't enjoy the racing.

Early Access Review
i admit, i only wanted to play this game because i heard you can capture human npcs, and then i saw that cutscene with Zoe in it and i had a completely different idea of what the game was. i am disappointed that the npcs in the game are not randomized and there's really not much options in human collecting.

Still, i wasn't able to get into crafting games but this one really pulled me in. The offbrand Bokay-Mons are a bonus, and breeding is a satisfying but painful task.

i remember GRID 2, GRID Autosport and Dirt 4 having this awful problem of resetting the resolution every time i alt-tabbed, and i just didn't want to deal with that. GRID reboot solved that problem, but the UI and physics i couldn't stand. After my experience of refunding 3 out of 4 of those Codemasters games, i just didn't really care about GRID Legends at the point of its release.

That said, i'm happy i eventually decided to give this game a try. No technical issues, not terrible UI, and i quite like the arcade physics that give a sensation of losing grip instead of outright going into a drift.

I think its fun and there is a regular career mode in addition to the story mode, so i feel like its worth the time. Multiplayer is alright, don't expect much from it. i do wish there were pit-stops and the strategy that comes with it, just like Codemaster's F1 games, but i also don't know how well it would have worked.

COMPLAINTS: the WIDE iconic GRID font i think is rubbish during gameplay cause it takes time for my brain to process what im looking at, in fact the whole UI takes too much space, and the Player Name isn't even highlighted, i named myself --YOU ARE HERE-- so that i didn't have to compute while im racing. its little things like this that can make a game feel low quality.

if you use a wheel for racing, you probably want a game with more depth to it. Skip this series.

Could do without the tailing and eavesdropping missions. Rest of the game holds up.

Dying Light 2 assumes that the player has no curiosity and no imagination.
This is exactly the type of game i rather watch a random streamer play. /TLDR

its free weekend and i can't bring myself to play anymore of this game. i have never seen a game that tries to out-Ubisoft Ubisoft games and does it. Terrible user experience, i cannot go 5 minutes without a cutscene, somebody talking my ears off, an Out of Bounds warning, and the worst offender is the tutorials that the game STOPS you from MOVING.

There's a moment that i have an ally character literally bleeding to death on the floor, and i cant do anything to help them because i leveled up and i cannot move until i open the gdamn skills menu to and up that specific skill, with the one skill point i have. Truly the immersiest of immersive video games.

Also there's a cutscene where a guy tells you to follow him, then after the cutscene ends he walks out and closes the door behind him and you have to open the same door just to see him stand 2 steps outside like, "bro can't you just leave the door open and not be a compulsive maniac?" and i know programming doors is hard - it really is, there's no shame. All the more reason to remove that part of the cutscene and just add a marker at the door saying "meet X outside". it would have saved some work and it just feels better than having a door shut on you.

i'LL hAvE yOU kNow, THat i've pLAyed OG Mirror's Edge (2008), this parkour thing is burrowed deep into my mind, yeah i know all about the jump, climb, wallrun, slid- where's the slide? why can't i slide? wha- oh. the game has a parkour skill tree. right. *launches BlackOps3 zombies and slides up the stairs* Come on, how is 'slide' not a basic moveset in a parkour game? i'm not sitting around to find out if coil jumping is a thing.

The real joke is i actually like playing Ubisoft games despite the invasive and bloated UI, because i CAN ignore most of that ♥♥♥♥ and play just the game, opting to learn the hard way, and therefore the User eXperience isn't actually terrible. Here, i cannot, i had it when the game explained how binoculars work and the controller vibrates when i use it. i actually feel stupid for playing the game.

"Unable to start the game: This product cannot be activat-" i own this game! i'm in the middle my playthrough!
Honestly, how did Ubisoft Connect become worse than when it was uPlay?

might as well just pirate it, then you can actually own it. this DRM bullcrap has no benefit to the user.

i love Bloodborne. i quite like DS3. i bought this game day one, and somehow, i've just fallen out of love.

i'm happy that Elden Ring did really well. i had so much fun at the beginning, but i stopped enjoying myself 50+ hours in, and somehow i keep coming back to put in more hours. There's some really great stuff, some good classic fromSoft level design, but the whole open world part just doesn't work out for me.

idk, if you love something, you love it, and if you don't, you can only try for so long.

Campaign has some good things going for it, but in a standard skirmish i think the game is rubbish.

An RTS game that favors a consistent color scheme over playability. No doubt it looks good, but seriously i'd rather have unit's uniforms colored by player instead of faction, you have to hover over everything to know who it belongs to. Worse still, in co-op skirmish, other players see different colors than you do.
imagine telling you friend your going on Red only to find out his red is your yellow, and an opponent is the same faction as he is and therefore wear the same uniforms. Plus, you cant see behind trees - move the camera, idiot commander!

None of what i said matters if the game was fun. It can be, but most of the time the match enters a positive feedback loop until the end.
