PERFORMANCE WISE THIS GAME IS JUST FINE. PRETTY PLAYABLE, 1050p 60FPS LOW-MID SETTINGS

Overall rating:
8.5/10

Combat rating: 10/10

Stealth rating: 9.5/10
- I was disappointed slightly with how long I had to wait until getting to play a bit of predator mode, but once you do get to stealth about, it feels great. Fear multi takedowns are a great addition and provide some counterweight to the silent takedown strategy, which is to make enemies split and then to pick them off one by one. With fear multi takedowns though, you try to get them to move closer together. This forces the player to alternate between different strategies and while some people found this annoying, I loved it.

Graphics rating: 6.5/10
- It looks great for a game running on a last-gen engine, but as everybody knows by now, Arkham Knight's performance at release was a disaster and it has gotten a bit better. I would love more graphics options though, such as multiple anti-aliasing and depth of field settings. Even though it runs okay at the moment, it is nowhere near the performance and look of games such as Witcher 3 or even GTA 5.

Story rating: 6/10
- Arkham Knight was a fun ride, with some amazingly great moments all throughout the story. That is not to say that the plot was not riddled with idiocy. The Arkham Knight was promised to be an original character made specifically for this game. That of course did not turn out to be true.
*SPOILERS*
- The Arkham Knight's identity is Jason Todd. Jason Todd. The Red Hood. When the Arkham Knight first called Batman old, I thought of Jason Todd but then shook my head and thought to myself, "No, that would be stupid and out of place entirely. Jason was never even mentioned in the Arkham series up to now, they wouldn't do that. No way." My fears came true (well done Scarecrow) when Jason Todd's incident was introduced to the story. ANYONE familiar with Batman, would immediately guess the Arkham Knight's identity. I really wouldn't mind a Jason Todd story if Rocksteady weren't so dishonest with their fan base, why not just call him the Red Hood? Or at least not advertise him as a NEW character...
-The Joker was great, but he was just as great in Asylum, City and Origins. Scarecrow was a great villain, and I feel that a Batman story can float even without the help of the Joker. His appearance was pretty surprising though and served as a much better plot twist than Arkham Knight's identity. As a side note, Batman becoming the Joker because of the Joker's blood is absolute nonsense. That's not how blood transfusions work, and just appears to be a cheap way to shoehorn the Joker in.
