Finally a jojo fighting game for pc,

Other than the fact that the ranked system in this game is absolute trash, its exactly what I hoped for when this was first announced

Its crazy to remember that at one point I saw the trailer for Shovel Knight back when it was a kickstarter project and thinking how fun and exciting the game looked. when I finally got my hands on it when it was just a single adventure I played the whole thing in one day and was more than satisfied with how fresh and exciting the whole experience was. Then they announced that not only were there going to be entirely different campaigns but they would be free I knew for certain that the me who saw that kickstarter all those years ago did not know just how right he was about the quality of this game.

Shovel knight is one of, if not the definative, best game to come out in the last two decades. What more can be said about a team that clearly poured their heart and soul into a game to such an extent that they would defy modern gaming convention and give out dlc for free to those who already bought the game. It is unheard of that a kickstarter game would actually deliver a good product, but for that product to become an instant classic that spanned consoles and even brand deals with fast food companies! Shovel knight is something that everyone with an interest in videogames as more than just a hobby should experience because it is a testiment to what can be done with passion and love for the medium.

But for reals! This game is damn good! I don't think a game has made me feel emotions like this game has in forever and it is such a wonderful thing to be completely invested in a world like this one's. Bioware really knew what they were doing with this one and Mass effect 3 (it is on Origin if you wanna snag that one too). They have a way of making every character so interesting and deep. Even if you don't like a character they still find a way to make something interesting about them. The story is paced perfectly and the dialouge is well written, wity, and sometimes even profound. The gamepaly is tight and the weapons all feel unique and powerful. There is no feeling like tearing through enemies, ducking behind cover, and advancing foward with your squad who you grow more and more attatched to with every mission. If I could reccomend this game anymore than I already have I would. this is an agressively good game and 3 is right there beside it.

For me to review this game a person must ask themselves. What makes a good MMO? If you are looking for a large, active, and social community at every level. Well... You might not find it here. What you will find is an older and less shiny MMO than most of the competition. While it really isn't as graphically impressive or polished gameplay wise as games like WOW, the game truly has charm and life to it that I haven't found in other games. It is easy to find MMO that are lifeless attempts to cash in on the success of WOW but have no real identity of their own. I don't feel that Everquest is like that at all. It only takes a minuets of playing the game to see that there was a true attempt and maybe even at one point a duty to stand as its own game and for the most part it does a pretty dang good job. Perhaps this is a biased thing for me to say since I grew up playing this with my dad. But I feel this game is a very good MMO and would recomend it to anyone who is too hipster to play WOW.
