SNK must be run by stoners if they think it's acceptable to not add the rollback version of KOF XIII to Steam. What in God's name was going through their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ minds when deciding that only the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Switch and PS4 would receive the new version? It's like they got a starving Donkey and put a bunch of bowls named after platforms in front of it, each full of food. They then proceeded to only develop for the first 2 bowls the donkey devoured.

For real, this is pissing me the ♥♥♥♥ off. It's insane to think that these guys would leave out so many platforms in favor of 2 old gen consoles. Get a grip and stop smoking the devil's lettuce, you wet towels.

At least the devs are adding content to DNF, when the Skullgirls developers started censoring and removing content as their updates. :^)

Making the movement feel like trash in a platform fighter was a bold move. Filling the servers with bots was also bold.

I already said it during the beta, but Street fighter 6 is the most fun game in the series!

To start with, the art style they chose for this title is slightly different from the older games, opting for a less cartoony vibe with this one.

The music has been bashed by a lot of people this time around, although I think it fits the game pretty well (especially Zangief and Kimberly's themes, oh man.)

The single player and alternate modes you can play at launch are plentiful this time around. You have a fully fleshed out RPG create-a-fighter mode, an arcade mode with different endings for every character, a special mode called "extreme match", where you can add some outlandish rules and modifiers to the playfield, and, my personal favourite addition to single player, the rotating arcade games in the battle hub! Yes, this is, in my opinion, one of the coolest things Capcom could have done for Street fighter. You just lost 10 matches in a row in ranked? Go play some Final fight to chill out!

Speaking of the battle hub, it's probably the best designed official lobby for a fighting game I've seen! It works flawlessly, it contains a bunch of cabinets for the aforementioned arcade games and extreme battles, it even has a DJ station for when you wanna scratch some discs! Still, the praise does not end here. The center of the battle hub acts as an arena where you can challenge other players to avatar battles. These avatar battles are some of the funniest and most nightmare inducing matches you'll ever play. Right now you're fighting fat Goku, next match you're up against an eldritch abomination that escaped from the coldest depths of hell, and afterwards you're defending yourself against Undyne's endless pressure strings.

Notice that I didn't even get to the central part of the game, and I'm already praising it to high heaven! The gameplay itself is absolutely phenomenal, with impactful hits that rattle your bones, interesting mechanics that you have to get used to and counter to succeed (Drive parry, which acts as both a defensive and offensive option, depending on whether you dash cancel out of it or not, and Drive impact, a polarizing mechanic that isn't too hard to counter, and that I actually enjoy)

Most characters, aside from the traditional grapplers that have always had short and sweet combos, can dish out a lot of pain in bewildering ways. The developers outdid themselves with each and every character's kit and mechanics, and man am I excited to see what they'll do with the upcoming DLC fighters.
Drive parry, as stated above, can be used as a defensive mechanic, parrying automatically if you hold the buttons down, or manually timing a difficult perfect parry for a more rewarding outcome after parrying.
Drive impact is an armored, advancing attack that causes a wallsplat in the corner (even if blocked), and leads to damaging combos if it armors through an attack and hits.

All of this is wrapped up in some of the best netcode I've seen, a strange decision to add a battle pass to a fighting game (I am not too bothered by that, personally), and hours upon hours of fun in every mode this game has to offer.

At this point in time, I'm giving Street fighter 6 a 9.5/10

Portal Stories: Mel is one of the finest fan 'games' I've ever played, the devs deserve all the praise and then some!
