Early Access Review
This game is so manly girls grow mustaches and Bruce Lee fights Chuck Norris a second time.

10/10 would sing 'Merica song in public again.

Ok, so just to put this in perspective, imagine being part the crew of a semi-big airship, flying in a massive desert with ruins of massive ships and blimps, that can shoot things out of the sky like its nobody's business with weapons that are so big that sometimes they take up a quarter of the ship, and seem to be able to take about 30 missiles, 15 flak rounds and about a thousand machine gun rounds to the face before exploding in more ways than you can imagine. Also, before said blimp blew up, everything was on fire and there were so many explosions and so much gunfire that even Michael Bay would be wide-eyed in amazement. That is what the game is like when you are playing it.

If you didn't notice this when you watched the trailer, looked at some photos or watched Markiplier and his crew get torn to shreds in an epic dogfight, you might have noticed that this game is based off of the steampunk universe. This game, although having almost no backstory whatsoever (you don't even know the reason why you are fighting eachother), is actually quite fun if you get into it. There are multiple classes of ships, ranging from the slow but very powerful Galleon, to the fast but lightly armored, and somewhat overpowered, squid. There are also multiple classes you can play as: the pilot, whom of which is the one that tells you what to do in whatever way they see fit, and they fly the ship around (ps. some pilots tend to crash, a lot): the engineer, which is the most important class on your ship, even though they literally just take a hammer and hit the thing they are fixing, which is kind of contradictory to what they are actually doing: and finally, the gunner, the only people that are dedicated enough to shoot someone in the face for no reason other than to blow the other guy into oblivion, and back to Earth. The designs of the ships and the graphics are stunning, and really fit in the steampunk universe. The maps, although there are only a few, are well made, except for the city one, that one hell for some people. Everything from the way the ships look to even how they fly are different and unique, and every ship is designed differently.

Now, this game is a team-based game, meaning you would need to have some actual coordination and teamwork with your crew, and the other captains, in order to win the game. You can't just go out rambo style like you do in call of duty, because you would die within 30 seconds of you turning your engines on if you do that. The mechanics are this: you and three other players (yes, only 4 people control an airship that has more guns and things to fix than there are people) are to (try) to pilot (somewhat) a Flying Instrument of Mass Air Destruction, or FIMAD as I call it (that is not what they are literally called). There are 3 game modes that I know of: deathmatch, king of the hill and crazy king. The only mode you probably didn't know about was Crazy king, which is basically like capture the point, only the point switches to different locations after it is captured for a certain amount of time.

Now, about the playerbase and the matchmaking system: it does take a while to actually get into a match. However, once you do, you will see how people are still playing this game. Also, the community overall is really nice and smart, oftentimes welcoming new players to the game and even taking it easy on some of them so they can learn. Be warned, though, about some of the "elites": they will not help noobs, nor will they actually do anything other than insult you and tell you how they are always right and how you are always wrong. However, don't take that as a message to not play, because in all seriousness, this is a really good game if you have a group of friends, or if you actually get into a game.

Overall, this game is awesome. The graphics are beautiful, and the game even runs on crappy computers at pretty good graphics. The gameplay is great, as the amount of teamwork, the atmosphere, and the mechanics are friendly and great. The community, although there are some rough edges, is in general inviting and friendly to new players.

I rate this game an 8/10, There are some things that hold it back, like the "elites", the fact that it is kind of repetitive with only 3 modes, and that matchmaking takes a bit of time. But overall, even with the defects, it is a great game to get, especially when on sale. See you in the skies, whatever class you decide to be.

Ok, so I invisioned this game to be a little bit different when I first heard of it. It's still good, but has a LOT of things that drags it down.

This game puts you in the early 22nd century, after World War 1 has been going on for a LOT longer than it should have. You get to 'control' entire armies and defensive positions as you duke it out in a tower-defense like game. I still don't really get why its a TD game, but what the hell, its a game.

Pros:
- You can actually customize how your units look with paints and other parts.
- Damage system is just like Space Battles, making it familiar with GSB players.
- You can play as either the defender or the attacker.

Cons:
- Seemed a little mediocre, as GSB actually had tactics and, well, was more fun.
- The only tactic is literally just spam units until you win for the offense.
- The defences are really weak, still taking at least 10 hits to destroy a light tank, or even a light mech.

Overall, it is a decent game. It wasn't what I would have liked to be, like tanks, mechs and infantry on an OPEN BATTLEFIELD! Firing almost non-stop at eachother with lasers, machine guns and big-ass guns. I guess that I had too high hopes.

I rate this game a 5/10 (Average game). For all of the GSB fans, this is not the game you would want. It is really restrictive to how you play, as there are no real tactics and, well, it just isn't fun in the long run.

So, firefall; the game that actually looked interesting enough to me in 2012, but I couldn't get it until last year. Anyway, Firefall is actually a decent f2p game.

Firefall puts you in as a part of ARES, a united military corporation that is fighting against a force called the melding, which is basically a rift in space-time that consumes everything in its path. It is on earth, and for some reason mutated versions of you are attacking the places that are not consumed by the melding.

pros:
- Great concept
- pretty fun early on
- It looks really comical, meaning the armor looks a little too big.
- This game's damage mechanics work somewhat, although it kinda reminds me of Borderlands with the guns.
- Pretty good gameplay
- The tutorial is actually good
- plenty of stuff for you to do.
- There is a mini game when you have a thumper and you defend it until the time is up. Sometimes, these battles that take place are so huge 20-30 players are all fighting melding people at the same time and it's just epic.

Cons:
- The game turns into a grindfest after a while
- progression seems a little off, as you can't really create your character as you want it to be.
- Most of the cool-looking and possibly more powerful classes of suits you need to pay for
- The weapons almost look the exact same, except for a difference in the sound, looks, and some stat differences.
- Most of the gamemodes are basically horde mode segments, protect your thumper from indiginous life and possible some melding people until the time runs out.

Overall, this is just an average f2p free-world game. It's a huge grindfest with a few things that pop up now and then, like fights with massive bosses and such. However, it feels as if it was supposed to be better, like the devs of this game either took out a lot of stuff or just didn't care much about other things

I rate this a 5/10 (worth a look). This game is at least worth a look. If you like it, then you like it, and vice versa. I'm not exactly recommending it, either.

This game, this game is the perfect game for people that like just doing random ♥♥♥♥, and for prop hunt. :)

Garry's mod has no story or campaign. It is almost completely multiplayer, but you can play in single player to mess with stuff.

Pros:
- This game is basically a giant sandbox, with a LOT of gamemodes, including TTT and prop hunt. :D
- There are plenty of mods in the steam workshop you can get. You can get the Portal gun, tanks, hell even a gun that shoots nyan cat.
- The graphics and the physics are based off of Half life, which enables you to survive falling from a hundred-story building.
- You can build ANYTHING you want in this game. You can build your own maps, weapons, basically anything you want. Unless its the tripod from War of the Worlds, they're broken.
- New game modes are made on a regular basis.
- You can do anything. You can reinact a star wars battle, or put Clone troopers vs UNSC.
- Like building ♥♥♥♥ and blowing it up? Do that with a freaking nuke that can kill you from the other side of the map!!!

Cons:
- This game does get a little repetetive after a few weeks.
- You will constantly have the urge to go onto the workshop and find some new badass gun or mod.
- If you have too many mods active at the same time, the game will crash regularly.

Overall, this game is awesome. There are few things that are actually bad about this game. You can build or destroy anyone and anything you want to. This is the ultimate sandbox game, with new mods coming out by the hundreds every day.

I rate this game a 9/10 (Awesome). This game, although it gets repetitive after a while, will always make you want to go back and blow some random stuff up or betray someone on TTT. Hell, even hunting for props in prop hunt, which there are some pretty clever tricks people can come up with. :)

Left 4 dead 2, wow. This game is amazing! This is the closest you can get to multiplayer zombie carnage, that is actually good, that you can get. Valve is awesome.

Left 4 dead 2 puts you in the same timeline from the original, except you meet 4 more characters. Your ultimate goal is to survive until you get to evacuation, which is surprisingly rewarding instead of the military shooting you in the face when you see them. You have the same coop campaign and multiplayer mechanics. 4v4 matches put you humans against zombies. anyway, let's get to the review.

pros:
- graphics are decent
- Warning: zombies actually blow up in this game. :D
- The game can get pretty graphic in late game. With all the zombie hordes.
- There are a decent selection of weapons, each having their own uses.
- Campaign is decent, but the characters are pretty forgettable, except that one redneck kid that never shuts up.
- Zombie classes are actually pretty scary when you are facing them up close.
- Each character has their own personality, like this one guy who hates everything, and this other guy that is a war hero.
- Zombies actually act realisticly, meaning they can run, and they aren't stupid. They will follow you if you are detected.
- There are a decent amount of gamemodes. There is one mode where the humans can't see zombies, but the zombies can see the humans.
- Clearly, the zombies are only for either hit and run or ambush tactics, unless you are the tank.

Cons:
- The campaign is pretty average. Also pretty predictable.
- Some of the characters are just plain forgettable.
- The coop campaign isn't realistic in the fact that if someone dies, they are back in the next level.
- Zombies are actually considered to be a little underpowered. It takes like 15 zombies at a time just to damage your character.
- Zombie classes are sometimes laughable. Chargers are really uneffective against groups unless you hit everyone at the same time. And even then you won't do that much damage since the people almost get right back up and shoot you in the face 4 times in a second.

Overall, the game is awesome in multiplayer. It's campaign lacks, but is acceptable since this is a multiplayer-based game. The graphics and gameplay are decent. The zombies are interesting and strong in certain ways, but are primarily ambush characters.

I rate this game an 8/10.

Alright, let's get on with the fact that this game is AWESOME!!! This game is almost an exact replica of RUSE, except for a few mechanics that are overall different with the game. Wargame: Airland Battle is a sequel to the huge-hit of a strategy game called Wargame: European Escalation, which sets you on a collision course with the Warsaw Pact, an alliance of communist nations including Russia. You can play as either the PACT or NATO in an epic campaign to blow up your enemies before they destroy you. It has more units, WAY better graphics, and the new addition of jets. Anyway, let's get to the pros and the cons.

Pros:
- It is easy to run this game on any computer. You can even run this on a laptop with decent graphics.
- There is a HUGE unit variety. Each unit in every faction serves a purpose, and sometimes you will actually lose a battle because you don't have a specific unit.
- There are 12 countries, all spread out through 2 factions.
- There is a decent amount of gamemodes at your disposal.
- The graphics are BEAUTIFUL if you have a computer able to handle ultra-high graphics.
- There is no damage bar or health bar for your units. Instead, there is morale, which can be crushed by artillery and prolonged suppressive fire. And if your units are armored, like the M1A1 Abrams, it will be a tough time to even penetrate it's armor.
- The strategy and tactics in this game are absolutely CRUCIAL to even get far into this game. You need to maintain a stable economy of supplies while at the same time sending more units out to kick some more ass.
- The sounds in this game are pretty good. The explosions sound like explosions, and the whistling of artillery shells and tank cannon shells wizzing by is extremely satisfying.
- There is an enormous amount of effort for the units, as they look really good.
- There is a suppressing mechanic, which if you fire artillery or something else at an enemy unit, they will be supressed, meaning they won't be able to move for a short time.
- The best mechanic is probably the fact that once you lose a unit, you can't get it back for the rest of the game, so tactics to minimize your losses and maximize your kills is crucial for survival.
- There is an actual fog of war mechanic, as every unit has a sight range. You will NEED scouts and recon units to scope out enemy units and to know what is happening most of the time.

Cons: (no game is without its defects)
- This game is brutal to new players, as even the AI can catch you off guard if you aren't paying attention.
- The Hud is a huge cluster♥♥♥♥ in large battles, you will be spending precious time trying to find your tank group in the middle of an apparently huge staging area for your allies while your forces get destroyed one by one.
- The fact that there is no way to get back your units after they are destroyed.
- The 'maintaining an economy' factor is more often than not overwhelming for noobs.
- The fact that a group of weaker tanks are almost no match for a stronger tank. Armor is a factor, but eventually the armor has to give, right?

Overall, this is a complex but very fun strategy game. it's like RUSE, but with better graphics and a WAY bigger unit variety. Not to mention the fact that each country has it's own strengths and weaknesses. For instance, America seems to be the most balanced between maneuverability and firepower while being expensive, whereas the Russians are cheap, but pack a big punch. This game is the perfect game if you are a fan of RUSE or any other strategy game like this one.

I will rate this a 9/10. Only missing 10 because of the HUD and some other factors that are in question.

WARNING: If you don't like giant explosions, war, nuclear weapons, or even the thought of committing mass genocide, then stop reading and get another game, like Galacon 2. However, if you like the former, then keep reading.

Imagine being in an underground bunker, for say the United States, and there was a massive series of crisis that unfolded. Your clock ticks ever so slowly towards zero as Defcon 4 approaches. You start mobilizing your navy to try to defend your coasts against the inevitable assault against your country. You establish airfields and silos along the coastline and close to your cities, so you can protect them. It's Defcon 3 now, and the enemy started to mobilize their forces against each other. Only 5 minutes later a battle fleet has come into radar range of your fleet. Your fleets start to open fire, aircraft carriers launching bombers and fighters while your battleships launch cruise missiles and fire massive guns at your enemy. It's Defcon 2 now, and you are being attacked from the east and the west. Finally, it reaches DEFCON 1. You hear a woman crying in the background, knowing that she is disturbed greatly by the outcome of the events beforehand. You start opening your missile silos and launch multiple nukes at your nearest enemy: Europe. Luckily, you had an alliance with South America, who was helping you defend against the enemy assault. However, 10 minutes after you launch a salvo of nukes, your radar detects a nuke heading towards your country. That nuke becomes 2, then 3, then 6. Your radar detects even more nukes coming from Europe. You then detect a strategic missile sub off the East coast, but you destroy it with depth charges before it can fire. However, you then see a wave of nuke bombers coming from Europe. Your defenses are spread thin, and only 2 bombers were shot down before they fired. You then launch almost every nuke you have against Europe, only to realize that Russia has also fought against you. You launch your last nukes at Russia, only to watch 10 nukes land in Europe successfully, of the 25 you have launched. You then admit defeat as tens of nukes tear your country apart in a glorious storm of radiation and fire, killing almost every human left in your country.

This is what you will experience in DEFCON. What I didn't mention in this, is the atmosphere is EXTREMELY effective at what it does. The occasional woman crying in the background, and the ominous, and slightly creepy, soundtrack just makes you feel remorse, even dread, just for launching fake nukes at a fake country. Yeah, it's THAT powerful of an experience. Hell, the game even comes with a manual on how to survive a nuclear war.

Borderlands 2 the pre sequel is apparently the sequel to the first game in the series, even though the second game was made before the sequel, so it kinda doesn't make any sense. But who cares, anyway? Let's get to the review.

Pros:
- Feels a lot like Borderlands 2.
- You can double jump. :)
- Even MOAR GUNS!!!
- LASORS!!!
- LASOR SHOTGUNS!!! (I don't know how that is physically possible but still LASOR SHOTGUNS!!!).
- It's on the freaking moon!
- Plot twist, Handsome Jack is a good guy. :O
- Apparently, people on the moon have australian accents.
- Moxxi is sexier than before. ;D
- Ice puns.
- Your character actually talks.
- Butt slam.

Cons:
- Why. So. Many. GUNS!!!
- Don't really see the point in having rifles when lasers carry more ammo and are more powerful.
- Campaign is so long you go to the same place more than twice.
- Feels the same as Borderlands 2.
- Feels like a DLC or expansion of Borderlands 2.

Overall, it's almost exactly like Borderlands 2, except for a few mechanics and addons here and there. Still don't get how australians got on the moon.

I rate this an 8/10 (Decent game). If only you could kick more ass.

Borderlands 2 is the sequal to Borderlands, which was a really good game. It's about you, a vault hunter, being a badass and kicking the ass of anyone that happens to be in your way. You are trying to save pandora from Handsome Jack, which in my opinion is the funniest and probably most annoying villains in any game I have ever played. Anyway, let's get to the review.

Pros:
- Guns, Guns, and more GUNS!!!
- Multiple damage types, some damage types are more effective against certain units. For instance, corrosive is very effective against armored units.
- These games are famous for the humor put into the characters and npc's, and boy do they deliver it.
- 4 classes to choose from, from the silent but apparently social assassin named Zero, to the dual-gun wielding psycopath Beserker.
- Graphics are the same as the orignal borderlands, with some improvments to textures.
- You get to be a badass.

Cons:
- So. Many. GUNS!!! It's like gun porn if you think of it.
- The humor tends to fade when you get further into the game.
- Enemies are literally only 2 different things, units that can shoot, and units that run at you and try to beet you to death.
- No double jump. :(
- Bosses are REALLY rage inducing, especially when you happen to have weapons that are apparently weak in the part of the story you are in.
- Story is kinda ify.
- Only two vehicles to choose from.

Overall, this game is a favorite in my opinion. It's humor is just enough to keep you going for a little while, and sometimes it's satisfying blowing the head off of a psyco with a rifle that shoots freaking corrosive rounds. The story isn't really clear sometimes, but it is decent.

I rate this an 8/10. If only you could double jump.
