One of the stupidest games I have ever seen. It is not good and it is not actually free.

A puzzle game on your own, and absolute chaos with friends. Great either way. As an added bonus, the developers haven't ditched it, and new levels are still being made!

Really good game. Basic idea, but the situations always call for adaptation and keep you on your feet. The devs do provide updates, despite all the hate that they get, and it has been maintained for a really long time. It does start to be repetative after a few hundred hours (this can be easily fixed with a few friends, if you have them), but it is still worth it to buy this game, because there are very few games that are quite as immersive. I have played this off and on again for years, and i still find it to be interesting each time i come back to it. It's always nice to see a game that takes quick reactions and good planning which is simultaneously interesting and fun.

I don't understand all of the hate this game gets. Admittedly, it's developing slowly, but there's so much to do while you wait. The maps are huge, with incredible amounts of detail, yet they change subtly each time you play thanks to random item spawns. They aren’t too random - you’ll still find medical supplies in a hospital - but they can be strange (schools are often filled with cigarettes, even elementary schools). There are different houses, from rural cabins to suburban mansions, with different loot. And everything is adjustable, so you can make the game as hard or as easy as you want. If you're new, set up an easy map early on, with plenty of food. If you're a veteran, you can make food scarce, and set the zombie count to ridiculous heights. You can even customize the zombies to such detail that you can decide how much smell factors into their hunting behavior versus hearing. All in all, I think it is a game with plenty of content, and while the devs may not be the fastest, they've stuck with their game and are still adding more and more as they go.
