Opened the game and found I've been on track for the world record all this time. Inspirational.

Palworld: what if we mixed the survival open world crafting and monsters of Ark with the chaotic feel of modpacking, and then themed it all with the copyright-skirting talents of Chinese third parties?

And then, just for laughs, we make it a fun and engaging experience?

It took almost two years for me to review Outer Wilds after completing it and its DLC. I never found the right words, especially none that have yet to be said, but it should speak plenty that I still think about this game after so long. Some things have a way of striking you in a way you never expect, the kind of impact that sticks with you through life. Outer Wilds and Echoes of the Eye are, together, one of those experiences. Never let a soul spoil it for you.

This is one of those games that exemplifies games as an art medium. If you enjoyed the base game, the DLC expands the story and introduces more of that experience of exploration you got in the first, but it will possibly terrify you in a way that is thematically important. It gave me anxiety while playing, to a lesser degree but similar to Alien: Isolation. In any case, if you don't mind the scare, the experience was worth it.

For a little less than $5 on sale, the single player campaign alone was fun and engaging and totally worth the money. Then there's the multiplayer mode I have yet to try, which from what I hear suffers from frequent DDoS attacks and hackers. A modded client exists that has apparently bypassed those issues, so I plan to give that a try soon. Regardless, the game has impressed me, and definitely left me wanting more.

An utterly unique experience--captivating, awe-inspiring, and above all, terrifying. While not without its flaws, this game was completely enthralling throughout, and remains one of the few single player games I've replayed again and again.

You don't need another review to tell you about the publisher forcing invasive anti-cheat software onto players. For that bit of top-level arrogance, I'm doing my part and leaving a thumbs down.

Edit: I’ve changed my review to reflect Bethesda’s decision to remove Denuvo Anti-Cheat, listening to community feedback. Kudos!

That said, I thoroughly enjoyed the singleplayer campaign before the update hit and would have otherwise been all too eager to recommend it to you all.

A poor man's Overwatch, surely, and it is that which entirely appeals to me about Paladins. For one who has yet to play Blizzard's popular title, Hi-Rez--the studio behind Tribes: Ascend, mind you--has offered at least a good few hours' entertainment free of charge. It's still under works, and unboxing systems and microtransactions such as Team Fortress 2's already seem in full swing, the game has managed to keep me playing over the weekend. Regardless of your experience with its inspiration/source, I think it's a worth a try.

Caster was able to provide just less than one full hour of entertainment--just about as much as one would expect. It's short, but that hour is more enjoyable than most of the other dime-shelf games on sale. Considering the low price, and of course the trading cards that'll likely offset it, you might as well give it a go.

"It's free to play, I might as well give it a go," I said days before my hat addiction began. In just a couple months I had unintentionally memorized every weapon name and voice line that existed in the game. I recently found myself with the inane ability to name every type of hat in existence, from stovepipes and bowlers all the way to your chapeaus and tyroleans. Skip ahead a while. Here we are today, and I am still very much addicted to hat and loving every minute of it.

I would definitely recommend that you go out and try some for yourself. You may end up like me, shunned by normal society, but who cares? We'll have hats, and normal society will have to face its poor, Irish, and laughably hatless roots.
