I shouldn't have to say much. bots/cheaters, terrible balance, dead community servers, broken comp scene and the community comp scene is full of 100 people left where no new players are joining. Game is dead.

Did I regret my hours spent despite last played in 2022? Nah, people who were there a long time ago knew how good it was with all the custom game modes and maps. Should you play today? God no. Time to move on.

Let me be clear: Although I enjoy this game, there is a topic that has to be brought up to everyone who would listen. Only to make a point. I will keep playing this game and being involved in the community for the tournaments and the people I keep talking too and will get to know more. But this review should get out of my chest.

Since this review was written a few days ago, the developers have dissolved and stopped working on the game. Without answers SO FAR about what to do for the community. (This will likely change in time, I would think the developers will come up for an answer for longevity and preserving this dedicated community.)

But this recent unwelcome weapon balance change is agreed upon to be god awful. Likely the result of pubpoopers pleading for a simpler game play in pubs so they can just pump their chest and say EZ for winning a game that has no barring on anything.

In particular the weapon changes makes meatspace combat boring and simple to master. For example, the grenade launcher's removal of the "sweet spot" means that you can simply hold M2 and it will detonate on contact instead of needing to create space in the first place, the grenade launcher in this game is an artillery weapon medium distance, not a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up close rocket launcher.

The meta in pugs is you can also get two mediums, 1 mediplant & 1 deck, an assault rifle, then use the M2 fixed spread shotgun to charge in to strip the enemy team's armor. Re-spawn then kill them all for an easy objective capture rinse and repeat when it comes to meatspace objectives. Depending on the map you could use MKrifle mediums to camp or light lazer rifle specialists for long range, but anything up-close is always going to be those assault rifle M2 spam. If you want to win you have to use the best of the best when ♥♥♥♥ hits the fan.

Light classes now if not always were before, use bolt and laser rifles, whereas smartlocks stay untouched and scream for buffs to at least demonstrate more than a specialized purpose. With either rocket or hit-scan specialist defending with bassy leap or ion, heavy class is now also rare. In this most recent version, medium class just reigns supreme.

For the community we only get together and play in tournaments, not including pub evenings like the anniversary of this game recently and weekends or /v/ game nights (rare), due to little engagement among competitive players or veterans of the game in general, I hate to tell it, but new players have little interest in this game since loot crates, downloadable content, season passes, skins, and other contemporary gaming trends are what make it successful. Old-school multiplayer games like Doom + 1000 of mods out there and Quake (CPMA) are low populated or even dead for a reason.

No gen alpha, zoomer or millennial is looking for that kind of time invested skill heavy based game. Even natural selection 2 a game where it's developers ceased updates are still getting players because OOOO OOO $5.99 SKIN FOR MY BIG TITANFALL MECH WHERE I SHOOT ALIENS!. There's no investment for """those""" kinds of people to stay engaged.

They are also scared off by the remaining players' prestige map knowledge, cyberspace confusion and underachievement. IN MY OPINION. Without a ""training"" map that's easy access for cyberspace to practice swiftly clicking the right boxes in cyberspace to hack the quickest (that one rocket jump training map doesn't count). To do something akin to this, you must play through each map in isolation or run your own server.

If its a tournament with 5 maps in a pool this would make sense for veterans, but for new players that's asking a-lot to go out of their way, not for some but definitely for most. Leaving 10+ people in the community in total with arguably the best at cyberspace a must have on your team, you can't really rely on someone new to cyberspace when the literal objective to win involves it.

No one has really tried selling this game to anyone new. Trust me I was one of those people as well trying to advertise this game to multiple source mods. A last resort in my opinion is for the developers giving the source code for the remaining community leaders or elitists that are voted best at this game to revert this recent weapon change to bring back a better familiarity that veterans are used too.

This game has so much potential, but I am not recommending it at this present time because of how everything is turning out game-play-wise and player-base-wise.

This game was a fleshed-out idea, but after playing for a long time by myself and with friends, I convinced them just by the art style to purchase it.

First off, give credit when is due the game has a huge charm to its style, the characters are funny except yumi, the maps run noticeably efficient with little performance issues, the weapon skins are cool, and the loot box system is... Not bad actually.

Everyone's luck is subjective to this system, and I don't care about the battle pass system I payed money for this game and I don't want to spend even more money in it.

The game is poorly executed all around, with Team deathmatches out in public with health stations, standoffs of waiting for someone holding the briefcase to peek out, quickly rushing by any means necessary early game to grab the in-game resource 'intel', or rushing in behind the AI guards to open the door for free.

The NPCS do a terrible job of throwing players off who's an enemy, especially now that everyone is jumping around getting to places as FAST as possible.

The combat isn't stealth-like 100% as it's advertised you can either win the game by completing the main objectives or eliminate everyone until you or your team is remaining. People are jumping everywhere using bounce pads out in the open, waiting at one spot apart from the main objective till someone takes them out.

When you need to get to places fast, you have to hack in with keycards in fixed positions that are limited resources or follow behind the dumb AI that opens doors for you without a key card or spending any 'intel'. Why go slow when you don't want to miss out on loot? You'll just lose in the end-game of the match.

The characters play inconsistently, and aiming down sights brings no benefits as everyone can shoot perfect accuracy or shotgun users has a fixed spread; other than a specific class called 'Hans' to enter slug rifle mode.

For the load-out system where you can have microchips to upgrade your character, most of them are gimmicky and most likely won't work unless you plan, but some are necessary such as the social battery & health chip.

There are variants of weapons, ultimate's, and passives of all classes locked by a leveling system that require in-game experience to level up depending on how well you play and with the people left in the game you're already at a disadvantage since you're stuck with default if your new.

You can turn Chavez into a 165 hp annoyance with the load-outs presented, and instead of invulnerability you place down a huge area of effect positive buff called resilience that's 50% dmg resistance and you can shoot freely making all areas of engagement in your favor.

Ace can just shoot perfect accuracy hip fire wise just ignoring the fact she's supposed to be long range only, so the said players play up close and bob and weave to try to head shot spam upclose.

And Red can just do about everything and anything once you level her up. Its that stupid. The other characters are not worth bringing up as It just gets more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

The developers tried their best initially, but it just falls flat into rinse and repeat ganging up on people and waiting for others to come and investigate and take them out. No reason to go after the main objectives when there's no punishment for sitting idly and camping.

Season 2 update actually killed the game with unnecessarily changes. Mainly the deal breaker is the match making queue. If you want to party up publicly with your friends neither of you can play as the raider.

If you want to play as the raider you're forced to do solo random queues which also possibly means 10+ minutes. Supposedly this is to prevent teaming with the raider. However people did this before due to NO REPORTING SYSTEM. However we now have the said report system and yet another change to the queue because why not??

We already don't have crossplay & now the game is encouraging you to always play your preferred role instead of having a priority level. And speaking of priority level; the "flex" queue matchmaking is an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT QUEUE. Good luck trying to find players who's specifically using that matchmaking server versus guaranteed survivor or guaranteed raider.

Unless they revert the said changes even the hovering device "bug" fix etc. There's no purpose of playing this game with your friends to try out all the features of the game. The players in the unofficial discord hate this update with all of their heart. It's just dumbfounding why they need to add all of these 'new' features when there was nothing wrong about it before.

The whole gacha system was bad enough that I still don't have goten's mid air jump yet I keep getting android barrier and gohan sprint for the 6th time. So many dupes for no reason, if we can buy superattacks for the characters why not being able to buy passive perks or active perks with the said spirit points. It could even be 2x amount; it's so frustrating.

Especially when you were a beta tester like me getting the rewards coming over to the actual game. I saved up my TP tokens and the Golden tickets spirit siphon and they don't even correspond to the new super sayian transpheres (Which btw people consider them low tier).

I don't recommend this game in it's current state after all this time of playing just because of this new season 2 update killing the whole vibe of the game.

The main deal breaker was this new matchmaking system, I can't stress that enough. If I'm forced to play survivor with my friends instead of each one of us occasionally plays raider with the priority system. Y'know the point of the game. Then whats the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ point.

Incredible.

There better be a multiplayer mode for the final release because I am going bananas over this game.

Absolutely phenomenal.

bethesda killed a really great singleplayer game with incredible mechanics with a "anti-cheat" that valorant uses.

I cant help myself by loving this game dearly but thanks to china for making a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ level 0 access to my computer.

>ZDdoom, ZDaemon and DOOM 2016 are still being played and now more numbers are rising up.

Good job bethesda you make me feel I want to bash your skull in more gruesome than Abby going golfing.

Should of known it was too good to be true for pre-order $90.00 plus tax.
